JOSE M : I have read some reviews saying it runs big, but I'm also reading the answers here that it's small. I'm 5'10" 190 lbs, should I go with M or L?darrick c : Hello Jose, by those measurements I would suggest a size Medium, unless you are wearing a wetsuit thicker than 5mm or thicker, then go with the size Large.

Better than expected

I've made several dives in Aruba/Curacao this week. This BC has great trim and I feel balanced on the surface waiting for the boat. Theres plenty of room in the pockets for my flashlights. I don't carry a bunch of junk with me, but the Divemaster on my boat had this same BC with all kinds of stuff attached to it. I like the weight system, as I can quickly pull the front weights before climbing onto the boat. I have a recent knee replacement and can't bear a lot of weight, so that's easier for me. The back trim pockets are super easy to load with weights. I'm 5'6, 180 lbs, and the medium fits pretty well. It's tight at first, but loosens up at depth as the pressure compresses my body. I prefer it not wobbling around underwater. I had (2) other BCs previously (Mares and Aeris) and this is clearly the best. I'm surprised with the difference it made.

As good as B.C.'s I've owned that cost twice as much. Maybe better. . .

I have owned five BC's since 1982, and this B.C. is as good as my last Scubapro Stabilizing Jacket that is still functioning though purchased in 1994. The trim pockets are great, weight system is S-I-M-P-L-E, inflator works very well, dump valves are reasonably quick, all 3 of them! Two different orientations of pocket, one slanted and one horizontal, zippers on pockets are excellent. I can't find one thing to complain about with this BC. Just spent 22 hours in the water with it at an Instructor-level rescue course over a long weekend, and it is supremely comfortable while diving in just a long-sleeved sunproof shirt. Buy this B.C. You won't be disappointed.

Sturdy and comfortable

Great BCD. Sturdy. Easy access to pockets. No dropped weight pockets. The trim pockets are useful particularly with drysuit dives. Would buy again.

Great BC for the price

It does exactly what it is supposed to do and the material holds up fine i have used it for over a dozen dives and it is holding up just fine lots of rings and great inflater.

Great BCD especially at this price!

This is one great BCD. Very comfortable with great sized pockets and integrated weight pockets. One of the better BCD that I have ever used. Watch the sizing I ordered an XL based of the size chart but I ended up actually really needing a Large. The fit guarantee doesn't work when they are out of the size and won't be getting any more in. I needed it so I just used it but was almost still to large even with my 8mm semi dry suit. I am sure someone will take it off my hands as its a sweet BCD.

Great features at a great price

Bought this BCD for my son, who wanted a solid jacket style BC. It fit great, has the integrated weight style he likes, and we were both impressed with the SS D-rings. Being able to hook it to a garden hose for flushing was the icing on the cake. Love this BC.

I would definitely choose this product again when the time comes to purchase a new one....

I really love the fact of all the d-rings and clips on this vest there was more than I thought from looking at the photos and the way it fits around me is amazing.. very simple vest to adjust to your fit. Also the weight drops have a great handle on them very easy to get to. One of the greatest features is probably the hose disconnect that you can connect to your water hose and flush the whole vest out.. the quality of the vest is a hard one to beat, very high quality highly recommend to any diver.... At all levels

Great jacket BC!

Bought this great Zeagle BC on sale and am very pleased with its performance. It's very well constructed w/ an integrated weight system and trim packs. Has plenty of rings for other gear/accessories and adjusts easily for a comfortable fit. Comes equipped with 3 dump valves and big pockets for lifesaver mask, safety gear etc. Although a bit heavier than some of the lighter travel BCs on the market, this IS MY travel-ready kit. You can't go wrong at this price! Get 1 before they're gone ...........

Can't beat Zeagle for quality

Wife loves her Zeagle bc. She felt comfortable with it on. No issues, except that overall the bc is a bit bigger than I thought when I purchased it for my wife. It packs well for travel.

Rugged vest style BCD.

Zeagle quality and durability is evident with focus bcd. My last bcd from another manufacturer cost 4 times as much and spent half its 2 year life undergoing warranty repairs.

Low quality, and poorly thought out.

Snaps (not buckle) on chest strap are built to fail, auto inflator is sticky and leaky, it comes with a huge very in the way warning label you have to remove that makes it unreturnable, improper smooth textured nylon used for waist strap means constant in water readjusting, drop-weights handles are stationary and hooked meaning they grab things (both mine were lost after a few dives), top dump valve occasionally sticks... the bladder has held but this unit has caused me nothing but trouble.

Tough basic jacket style BC

I’m 6’ 190lbs.and dive a 7mm wetsuit. The large fit well.I’m a divemaster and needed a tough and inexpensive jacket style BC that had plenty of lift and space for extra weight and all the other random equipment you need to assist with open water certification classes. It also had to be easy to get in and out of when demonstrating skills for students. The Zeagle Focus fit all my needs at a great price! Thanks LP!!

Great BC

This is a well made BC with a lot of useful features. The cordura fabric on the BC harness/body/bladder is tough and sturdy. The integrated weight system is very good and easy to use. It does have back trim pockets with adjustable straps. I've used 20lbs(14Front/6Back) in the BC, and could have fit more. The back pad feels good even with my big HP117 steel tanks. The single tank strap holds my heavy steel tanks firmly, and I soak the strap before dives.The D rings are plentiful. The storage pockets are of decent size, but it can be difficult to reach/open underwater. I cannot comment on how long it takes to dry because I hang it up in a storage unit after dives. For the recreational diver, I definitely recommend the Focus BC. I am 5-8, 160lbs and the Medium fit me perfect. 32 inch waist and I have 21 inch torso length as per the Zeagle measuring guidelines. Zeagle Focus BCD

The Zeagle Focus BCD is a versatile and durable, buoyancy compensator that comes with a high-capacity bladder and multiple attachment points for accessories. Storage and attachment of accessory items are facilitated with six stainless steel D-rings along with one retractor D-ring and accessory webbing hook along with two expandable zippered utility pockets. For extra comfort the Focus has a super soft back pad. The integrated weight system is a single action weight release design with 20 lbs (9.1kg) of releasable weight capacity and 10 lbs (4.54kg) of non-releasable weight in rear trim pockets. Buoyancy control is made easy with the rear right overpressure relief/pull dump valve and Zeagle's Power Inflator System with 3/8" threaded quick-disconnect low pressure hose. The inflator is also connected to a pull dump valve for rapid deflation. The Focus has a dry weight of 9.7 lbs (4.4kg), provides 36 lbs (16.33kg) of lift, and is made in the USA.
