Dove the Express Tech for 14 years and 975 dives. Added weight pockets and D rings. BC is simple, light and comfortable. No complaints at all. 2 straps on the tank was a real plus.

Only one dive so far but impressive. Easy to adjust, good streamlining in the water. Handled a steel 80 + 10lbs in a 3mm suit easily . No shifting and good buoyancy. Could use a few D rings but no complaints otherwise.

Bought this after a recommendation from a tech instructor. I’m not a tech diver, but I travel a lot and this BC is compact and light, and very adaptable. I’ve used it for 2 years and about 50 dives, and I am very pleased with it. I also like back inflate BCs. I feel more streamlined in the water, and I’ve just never liked the squeeze I get from a vest style BC.

This is a really nice minimalistic BC. I like wings, but usually cant use it for training due to the forward push you get at the surface. Both this one and the one it replaced (Zeagle Scout) use weight pockets mounted near the tank to actually give a turtle affect at the surface. I do think they should give the option to have it come with weight pockets. I ended up using the ones off my Scout, which worked fine. To buy them separately was $99. Since it is a harness, it is fully customizable. The harness easily accommodated a pocket, and I added a crotch strap. Also a quick install. I am still trying to figure out how I can add a keeper at the base of the back plate to keep the waist strap from being sucked in to the shoulder strap area when donning and doffing.

Not bulky and its pretty nice... just don't think its good to use for diving dry... you need more weight than this thing can carry. It says up to 30 pounds but I was diving with about 26 pounds and it seems the plastic nuts/bolts holding the weight pockets started breaking off. Having to find new ones :-(

I customized the Deluxe into something like a basic Express Tech with a crotch strap. With the pads and a couple of webbing left over. And if needed, it can be a Deluxe again in less than 15 minutes. I used it in my advanced open water course with a weight belt. The learning curve was small considering I've only used jacket types before. But once acclimated, I forgot it was there. It wasn't a problem staying on my back on the surface either. It's light and can be disassembled. Very handy when traveling. And it's worth much much more than its price. It doesn't have the bells and whistles but those are easily added.

This really is an excellent travel BCD. It resolved a lot of weight problems I previously had on dive vacations due to Airline Overweight Problems. It worked great in combination with my Wife's Cresi Flex In The Sea Travel BCD. We were able to get all our gear packed and weighed in at less than 40lbs.

I always like to bring my own equipment on travel. With stricter airline luggage limits, I got the Express bcd to save weight. Compared to my regular BCD I save 3lbs, and a lot of space. If I take of some padding and the ripcord system I could probably loose 2 lbs more. This BCD weigh in just under 6lbs.

The Express Tech Deluxe Back Inflator BCD is an ultra-light weight, super compact traveling BC pack with features never-before found in a rig this small. The unique backplate is reinforced with a polymer material that gives the support needed and the flex desired for a comfortable fit. The system comes standard with a 24 lbs (10.89kg) compact bladder with elastic retractors to keep its' profile small. Two sets of center plate grommets allow for attaching twin cylinder assemblies via the bolt and nut arrangement that most tech systems use.
BCD is equipped with dual rear pull dump valves and Zeagle's Bx Power Inflator. The Bx Inflator is unique in its design. Rinsing the internal bladder completely after every day of diving is important to the life of the bladder. The Bx Inflator has a special threaded coupling that allows you to remove the power inflator mechanism and attach the inflator hose to a standard garden hose. This unique feature allows you to fully flush-out the entire bladder with clean fresh water removing salt, sand or other contaminates that can cause wear and deterioration of the Inner bladder. This BC can be called the ultimate travel rig for any type of diving. Take it to the islands for lightweight reef and fun diving or explore the deep holes and ledges that require technical gear and twin cylinders.
Deluxe Harnesses BCD Version:
The Express Tec Deluxe includes all the features from the standard Express Tech plus: - The deluxe harness has an articulated shoulder assembly which will swivel to adjust the harness to the body's contours. The harness is equipped with Airloc buckles on the shoulder section and waist band along with a chest (sternum) strap. All the buckles allow for adjustment for a custom fit and are "squeeze style" side-release for ease of donning and doffing. Express Tec Deluxe BCD also comes equipped with a back-pad and shoulder pads for added comfort at the back and shoulders. Bladder is constructed from durable 1,000-Denier nylon fabric with an internal urethane laminate and all seams are radio frequency (RF) welded for long life and is made in the USA.
