I'd the tank has a diameter of 7.25" has a round base and is unencumbered then it should fit , he may need to wrap some tape around the tank to ensure a snug fit. The tape should be removed and replaced regularly and the tank inspected for rust or pitting. Best I can do !

Unuseable

Too Small does not fit a 7.25 inch flat bottom Steel Tank [measured prior to purchase] its specified size too small can't even hammer it on with lubricant applied a waste of money. Too rigid no give at all may have to try and grind it out possibly making it too loose.
