although these are a heavier fin, I find them excellent for a quick burst. I am a safety diver and these get me to the panicking student fast and efficiently. My husband also has them to recreational diving and loves them best out of the 3 pair he has purchased. The reason they only get a 4 stars is the weight.

I have a size 16 foot and this fin fits quite well with a 3mm shoe. Foot pocket doesn't seem as big as my Hollis F1, I have a bit of a struggle getting my dry suit boots in(size 17 converse all stars :) ) but still a good fin. Someone with a smaller boot 14-15 would work well.

I am on my fifth pair of Turtles after 30 years of diving.I use these fins for basically three reasons..(1)I like a good heavy fin for drysuit diving, (2)most other fins done fit heavy drysuit boots and (3)the price is usually quiet reasonable. However, there are two shortfalls..(1)Even the largest size are a little tight for heavy attached boots and (2) the foot pockets eventually fail and rip. I should note that I do lots of drift diving in high current rivers and stop often to dig out bottles, etc. When I stop on bottom I am often in a position where I lean back onto fins and put a lot of pressure onto blades and foot pockets. Eventually any fin would fail with the abuse I put on them but Turtles hold up better than most. Actually a 4th reason I keep buying them is so that I can have a spare when I break one. Overall they are a good product if they meet you needs. Replace the straps with expanding sprind straps for ease of use with bulky drysuit and reduce chance of loss.

I have these fins in both 2XL and 3XL, bought from different places. The 2XLs I have are alot more sturdy than the 3XLs that I got from leisurepro. Also both have differnt XS logos, not sure if one or the other is just old stock or if they are made this way. Either way both are excellent fins though it seems the 2XLs will last a lifetime compared to the 3s which are alot more flimsy. i got the 3XLs to accomodate my rock boots, the 2s were just a tad bit too snug, but they get their play time when im not using the drysuit.

I am a commercial diver and underwater welder. I wear these fins about 5 times a week, swimming through rocks, barnacles, cables.....you name it. I have over 3000 dives to my name and have owned many fins. These are the best bar none. I have an unused set hanging in my closet for when my first set with over 700 dives on them finally gives way.

These rock, although they're negative in the water and will bring the feet down slightly without some readjustment in confined water; however, they accommodate rock boots and are wonderful for alternative kicks like the frog kick and modified flutter kick.

I love these fins/ used them for years. Sometimes I try a pair of "newfangled" fins, but always return to TURTLES for their efficiency.

I use these fins with a thick neoprene drysuit that has large, durable attached boots. My shoe size is 11, and the 3XXL Turtles fit perfectly. The fins are quite heavy, so there's no need to use ankle weights. If I was expecting to fight a lot of current during a dive, I'd probably use my split fins instead, as the Turtles might cause cramping.

These fins are like an extension of your own body-they feel very natural-best fin yet for frog kicking-In a race my slingshots would shoot me through the water faster but I have yet to dive in a race. For ultimate control, varying kick techniques, cornering in tight quarters & minimalizing silting, these are the fins to use

I have tried all types of fins, but since being recommended these fins and used them on several technical dives, I have nothing but good things to say about them. Comfortable, fit is perfect, functionality is at it's best, durable but mostly tough as hell. Love em.

I use this with a dry suit for penetration wreck diving. Fins are short but powerful for tight turns. They aren't fast but stiff.. 100% rubber so the weight is good so I don't have to wear ankle weights. I use another type of fin for open water stuff..

With my size 13 7mm boots they fit perfectly. The fins are easy to put on and take off. These fins are for people with strong legs.

I love these fins/ used them for years. Sometimes I try a pair of "newfangled" fins, but always return to TURTLES for their efficiency.
This is the original Scuba fin, with a tried and true design that has maintained its popularity. This fin is the sole choice of many combat and tactical units worldwide. The unique rubber compound allows you to achieve greater efficiency by reducing the overall weight and adding a snap back quality. The Turtle Fins all rubber construction with standard like-they-used-to-make-them metal buckles.
The vented blade design allows water to flow-through the vents on the weaker down stroke of fining, reducing pressure and providing less strain on the leg. When fining in the up stroke, due to the angle of the vent, the fin reacts as a solid blade for maximum power and propulsion.
Turtle Fins come equipped with strong and durable adjustable rubber fin straps, that have large pull tabs for easy donning and doffing and the pull tabs have eyelets to hang fins when drying or for storage. Excellent fit, comfort and propulsion in a vented neoprene rubber fin. XS Scuba's Turtle Fins are available in multiple sizes, are popular with dry-suit divers because of the very large foot pocket and are black in color.
