Shopper : would you trust this to keep a remote car key dry in the ocean when snorkeling?Devanne M : Sure.CALA B : Maybe if you had a little baggie around it just to be safe? I put money and credit cards in mine, most of the time they stay bone dry but once in a while they get wet. With a brand new one the seal should be really tight!PERRY O : Generally, yes. Very well made and durable. I have bought several of these over many years and they have always been watertight. In the unlikely event that the one you get has a flaw that could cause it to leak, look it over carefully then weigh it down underwater in the sink with something like tissue paper inside.JOHN P : No. Only good on shore, on boat, etc. Doubt in would keep electronics dry.BRUCE L : I have never used it while underwater. It has always kept things dry at the beach or around a pool but not sure for long periods of submersion.MARTIN H : I never had any leaks using this at depths of up to 100 ft. but I would be surprised if a remote key would actually fit. I was doing well to keep an ID, a credit card, and a few dollars in there. It's not very big inside. I did once try a larger version of this product and it leaked terribly.DEWITT B : Money, credit cards did not get wet but my card keys did not fit but I would expect them to be dry as well. It is a good product.

small dry box

I use this case while at the beach to carry drivers license, money and credit card. It works great worn around my neck or in a pocket. The colored case hides the contents from being visible to others. I also have a clear case (same size & brand) that works well to carry my fishing license while fishing or crabbing.

Fast and Cheap

Although I am a diver, I purchased this item to replace a misplaced dry case that appeared to be identical, but for use in a waterpark as well as dives. Upon arrival, it seemed identical except that the cords come apart easily with a quick release coupling, presumably a safety feature. I had to replace this with a springloaded push button slide that allowed me to adjust the cords and prevent accidental release. It worked fine on tumultuous water rides and did not come off. I was very pleased with the low price and fast delivery.

Long lasting excellence

Have carried one for many years. It finally wore out (compressed the seal)and am now waiting for another umpteen years before I need to order again. They are great for carrying ID, cash and credit card for when I wear my Zubaz as it will not drag down the pants as a billfold does.

Great product low price

I take only the money I need for dive and tip dont have to worry about loosing my walet or credit card. it has room for key and it floats if i drop it in the drink ,hardly know you have it on hides behind your shirt ,great for the beach to,just the right size great deal cant beat the price

Waterproof until ...

This was nice ... kept stuff waterproof until I heard a loud bang and it imploded at 80 ft. I guess it wasn't waterproof afterwards. Good for snorkling and light freediving.

Not really watertight after a few uses

We bought this case to hold our money and room key while snorkeling. The case was no longer water tight after just one or two swims......water got into the case.....wet money, etc.

Good case overall

Didn't really use this case for diving purposes- bought it for a vacation to the ocean where we didn't wan't to carry room keys and credit cards around in pockets where they could get swept away by the ocean- works great for that purpose! We ended up taking off the lanyards, though, because they are way too long for any practical purpose, as well as not being adjustable. Would be more convenient if you could adjust the lanyard lenghts. Never had a problem with the case sealing, though, even in saltwater and sand.
