Sharon E : Is the Waterproof Ultima system competitive with the Kubi dry glove system that cost almost twice as much as Waterproof?  They both use snap-on rings, and claim "easy" on and off.  I am not able to use my Antari- oval ring system-too big, not able to get my small hands around the rings to rotate them in place, too stiff,.Mario C : i am sorry we dont have info on the Kubi or interchangeability charts for them. Better check with the manufacturer of your suit. Also no drysuits divers on the team here for a more technical answer.

Excellent product. Make sure you lubricate the rubber rings with Vaseline or they will dry for and crack.

Love this system

I've struggled with dry glove systems in the past, particularly the oval system from Si-Tech / Waterproof Antares, and this Ultima system has been a fantastic upgrade.

Better than DUI

I have a CLX450 with Zip seals. The zip dry glove system is just ok since you can't put the gloves on with the suit on unless someone does it for you. I got the Waterproof system and using an old DUI zip glove I cut it off just below the velcro strap and installed the suit ring on it just as if using a PVC glove. Then I zipped it onto the suit and vola! I have Waterproof system on the DUI zip cuff. Nice to be able to pop these on myself and even better to get ready without the gloves on then don them before entering the water.

Best glove system

I had the Antares system before. You can read my review somewhere here. It was absolute junk which made me hesitate on this system. This system however, is amazing. Pretty easily set up. Great connection to the suit. You can use any glove, but the Waterproof glove (bought separately) is great. The inner liner glove is a bit cheap, but you can pick up smart wool gloves fairly inexpensive and they work great. If everything cost $100 more, it would still be worth it. Dexterity about equivalent to 7mm gloves.

I wish I had more

As another reviewer said, the Ultima system beats Antares hands down. I haven't had a leak nor a glove pop off since I began wearing the Ultima rings. I just wish I could buy some more glove rings as a backup. I've only seen them for sale on a Norwegian site.

There are many dry glove systems available in the market for advanced dry suit divers. Waterproof tested them all and analyzed the pros and cons of each system, trying to find ways to improve and adjust an existing, decent working model into a better performing system. Waterproofs criteria is that it must be easy to mount, dependable, not too bulky, and fit into the existing Waterproof arm design. Waterproof found a 20-year-old patented system that matched their criteria. They evaluated it and worked on solutions. The company that owns the patent was willing to listen to Waterproof ideas and work with them to improve and manufacture the resulting design.

The result is the new Ultima Dry Glove Ring System. It fits directly in all* Waterproof dry suits with Integrated Silicone Seals, ISS. And it can also be mounted to all dry suits with fixed latex seals. The gloves are easy to mount before diving. You can see, hear, and feel when the ring connects properly or when you disconnect it. This system is as close to "fool proof" as it gets! The solid rings on the suit and gloves can easily be mounted in advance. The Ultima system can be attached to all dry suit Latex seals to achieve a complete dry glove system.

*The Ultima Dry Glove System does not fit directly into size 3XL, 3XL/t+ due to larger wrist rings. For these sizes, Waterproof recommend the Quick Glove system from SI TECH. One set contains two suit rings, two glove rings, O-rings, two silicone covers, lubricant and tool. Gloves and silicone seals are not included.
