Questions & Answers

Shopper : What is the measurement of neck in the size S?JOSEPH F : I am a large, weigh 205 and the neck fits very comfortably. 8 do a lot of diving and this has been my favorite hood vest combo.TOMER K : I do not know, but,if you normaly use medium,in other suits, use small in waterproof wetsuit. its allways one size less than the one that you where normaly.
Shopper : My chest size is 100cm, 39inches. M size will be good for me according to size chart. However I have bit bigger head. I use L size hood Waterproof H1. What size should I Choose?Angelo F : I would select the vest that would accommodate your head size first. Nevada M : I think the M will probably work well for you. I am a 42" chest and the L fits me perfectly, as the size chart says it should. My head is on the bigger side too, so I would assume the vests and hoods are proportionate to each other.
Shopper : Is this for men or for women?JAMES F : They come in sizes for men and women. My daughter and I bought these for our last trip to the channel islands in CA and absolutely loved them.YAN G : This is the men's version. Wrong image. Will be changed shortly.
Shopper : Is there a thermal fleece like /polar tech like fabric on the inside of the vest? I believe the pinnacle vest has this type of inner.THOMAS M : No thermal fleece inside it. It is very comfortable to wear under a wetsuit. I use mine for cave diving and it works superb. The HAVS system really doesn't function well from a horizontal position so be sure to add a few small holes on the back of the head(Below the mask strap) to allow air to escape or it will be rather annoying(Like all hoods).JAMES F : There is no liner on this hooded vest. It is smooth neoprene like you get on many wetsuits. However, it is very comfortable and fits like a glove.JAMES J : No.LYNN S : No. The vest does not have an inner lining. However, the face seal is very effective at limiting water flow into the hood and vest.MIYUKI S : This does not have a thermal fleece like /polar tech like fabric on the inside. Pinnacle has hooded vests lined with Merino for extra warmth. The Merino lining is also soft and makes the vests more comfortable.
OLIVER P : I wear a large waterproof 7mm wetsuit (with a little room to spare), and an xl 7ml hood (no room to spare). To add warmth, What size hooded vest should I get? Large or XL?WILLIAM B : I wear a dry suit hood with a wet suit for easy head movement. I don't like the confinement of the full hood. Jersey is not that cold. for you XL hood.

Very good 2nd layer

This is my second purchase of the same vest. I got hundreds of dives on the first before it started to fray. Remained decent insulation throughout. I layered it under a 3 mm (very old and thin) suit. Recommend using a rash guard underneath -- easier to slip on and off.

Functional and Well Made

I dive regularly in tropical 80-82 degree F water. I wear this vest with board shorts on every dive. I start the dives without the hood. If I get chilly toward the end of the dive, I pull the hood up. The vest shows little wear after months of constant use. I agree the length is a mite short, but it's a minor gripe. The quality, good design, and clean look make this vest a winner. When the water gets into the 70s this winter, I'll switch to my Waterproof 3.5mm full suit, which is another great product. I'm 5'10", 42" chest, 195 lbs. with a biggish head, and a Large is a perfect/snug fit. If you're bigger than that I think you'd want a larger size. If you're just a bit smaller than that, I think the Large would still fit well.

Almost Perfect

Very warm and comfortable, however I'm tall (1.85) and the length of the vest is barely enough
