I have long hair and only dive in 80+ F waters, so I leave the hood edges outside my wet suit. However for colder temps I would tuck it in. I used this and got a large, which works, but I wish I'd gotten XL....KEVIN C : I have a fairly large head, usually an XL, but the Large fits fine. The HAVS doesn't work well at all though, so I put my own ent in with a soldering ironDARRELL B : There is a "see size chart" link on the page where you order the hood. Click on it--it has the head circumfrence in cm or inches with the corresponding size. I used it and mine fit. I believe LP will do a free exchange if the one you order does not fit.JUNE H : What is the circumference of head at widest point? and circumference of neck ? BRIDGET D : I am away from my diving equipment so I can't check the size I purchased. I'm guessing it was a small. I am a petite women 5'3" 125 pounds and found the hood fit perfectly. It was very comfortable , kept me warm, fairly easy on and off, and the vent worked -no bubble above my head. I recommend this hood.

Traps air, the venting system is almost just for looks, doesnt work

The hood air venting system is terrible. Traps air in the rear and will not escape if you are prone, the vents are on top so you must be upright to vent and the holes are too small! A few small toothpick size holes on the inside, i had to use a leather punch to make more/bigger holes in the occipatal area. It is warm and well fitting though. Needs a better vent system though, it trapped air and i had buoyancy issues as i couldnt release the air and had to remove mid dive so i didnt have an uncontrolled ascent.

Simply one of the very best in quality, performance, appearance, durability, construction and suitability of purpose.

I am a DM and Instructor as well as compressor and Nitrox and watermaker engineer & tech. Do a TON of diving while on assignments as well as fun diving. This hood (or any hood) is an essential part of your kit. In particular I love my hood. Thermal protection, physical protection, comfort, fit, durability, on/off ease, construction/quality, user friendly, performance - all 5-STAR. Extremely comfortable

Thanks to the awesome customer service provided by Leisure Pro I was able to order a couple of different brands/models of hoods and return the ones that didn't fit right. The bib is small and goes just enough over the shoulders, which is exactly what I was looking for. It fits perfectly around the neck and the material that is in contact with the face feels very silky and comfortable. I am looking forward to wear this hood on my next diving adventure.

Good quality

My wife hasn't tried it in the water yet, but I'm sure after a couple times it will loosen up a bit - for now it's just a little snug. Overall, the quality of the hood seems pretty high and I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

I bought this hood to replace my Henderson hyperstrech 3mm. I am exteremly happy with the fit and performance of this hood. I'm using it with the new Scubapro C-zip Everflex wet suit. I lobster dive in the winter in Bermuda and love how much longer i can last in the water before feeling cold. A great hood, a great buy.

The body reacts to cold by adjusting the blood flow to different parts of the body, like hands, fingers and feet. The body cannot-adjust-blood-flow to your head to ensure brain function always. The colder it gets the more heat you lose from the head by radiation, or by conduction in the water. You stay warmer with an effective hood.
