Owen C : Are the Waterproof Ultima Dry Glove System compatible with the D9x suit?SCOTT S : You can use these on the D9X, however since the D9 has latex seals and not the integrated silicone seal system, you will need to install them with the existing latex seals by pulling the seal over the inner ring as described before and can be found on youtube. The two versions of the Ultima system both work with the integrated seals, however the 'soft' version works with the flexible ring system that is on the new EX2 model of suit. For D9X either of these will work with the standard latex seals on any drysuit.ERIC F : I got my dry suit in December 2018. I did not use the glove system, but seeing some videos in Youtube, I think is compatible, because it seems to fit any dry suit. I could not add videos links here, but do a search and you'll find videos of Waterproof explaining how to set on the glove system.ERIC N : Per Ultima: Ultima dry gloves fit in all Waterproof drysuits with integrated silicone seals (ISS) or fixed latex seals, except size 3xl and 3 xlt. Quick Glove works for that size.Joshua K : Yes they are. It’s just a matter of popping the old rings out and putting the new ones in. Take about 10 minutes per glove.James P : Yes !!! The rings attache to your existing latex seal. I put them right up against where the fabric and seal are sewn together. It is about a 30 min process! You can find videos on how to attach by searching the internet! I was very pleased with the clean look. FRANK M : is an undergarment needed. I have the D1but looking to get something lighter than the 20lbs the D1 weighs i do dive in cold water and the summer temps do get up to 50f would this be a good suite for the summer in New England without a under garment????James P : I have this suit and without an undergarment you will get pinched by it. Any type of " base layer" will work for that. I also have the Waterproof Mesh Tech and it works great even in warmer water and is very breathable, I also find I need a very minimal amount of air in the suit when using the MeshTech!Adam S : Hey Frank - I have the D9X and would highly recommend undergarments in 50 degree water. I dive here in NY & NJ and always use insulation.SCOTT S : Unlike the D1, which includes an undergarment, this D9x does NOT include an undergarment. Depending on the temperature of the water, your dive duration, and personal tolerance for the cold.

neck and wrist seals are so nice and no water penetration very easy to wear and take out around 2kg of total weight is so satisfied only one thing that you have to remember is your boots size (its fixed on each size)

About Waterproof D9X Breathable Dry Suit, Men's

Based on the world's first Ultra-Light D9 Dry Suit concept from Waterproof, the D9X Extended Breathable Dry Suit features some technical improvements. As a leisure diver, you can always decide not to dive if environmental or weather issues are of concern or if you don't want to abuse or risk your equipment. But for some divers this is not always a choice. To meet their need for equipment that has extra reinforcement, Waterproof R&D redesigned the standard D9 suit and found a way to strengthen some areas without jeopardizing the most important feature of the suit: The Ultra-Light Concept.

The suit features newly developed stronger laminated material, same as used in Waterproofs EX2 suits, extra reinforcement from the elbows to the zip-off neoprene warm cuffs, which are designed to accept readily any dry glove system. Extra reinforced lower back and knees, lightweight pockets on both legs (featuring two cord loops on each) and delivered with XLITE Soft Boots. Yes, the D9X Extended Breathable Dry Suit weighs slightly more than the exceptionally Ultra-Light standard D9 Dry Suit, but Waterproof knows that most divers are willing to carry a little extra weight in exchange for added performance.

Double Leg Pockets - With double cord loops, easy grip and drainage mesh. Flexible Dry Zipper - Light and flexible diagonal front TIZIP MasterSeal 10. Integrated Suspenders - Adjustable integrated suspenders for comfortable fit. Knee Reinforcement - Double layers of abrasion resistance fabric. Seam Free Crotch - The Crotch is made in one piece, no seams. This to ensure a more durable and comfortable suit. Seat Reinforcement - Double layers of abrasion resistance Cordura fabric. SI TECH Valves - Swiveling inlet valve and adjustable automatic outlet valve. Provided by SI TECH. Telescoping Torso - Suspenders and the adjustable torso system enable the diver to fit the suit to their liking. Warm Cuffs - The arms are equipped with warm cuffs that minimize heat loss at the wrists. Just put the glove underneath the cuff. XLITE FLEXBOOT - An extra light and flexible boot with fin strap ridge and a narrow fit. Zipper Cover - Provides protection of your dry zipper. Suit weighs 7 lbs.
