I always like to feel prepared on a hiking trip. This product gave me such peace of mind to know I would have these arrangement of items and tools just in case I would have gotten lost or had an emergency. It is high quality and fits in a backpack so much better than if I were to go and individually buy each item. I will be buying this for my friends! Thank you for an awesome product!

After using this for more than a week Im blown away how useful this surivival gear. The tube itself is so durable and it has this great premium metal feel to it. Im planning to get the VSSL First Aid Kit next. I 100% recommend this if your planning to go hiking or camping with you. My rating I give is 8/10 for a survival gear

I usually don’t leave reviews but this thing has come in handy so often I feel like I have to! My friends definitely made fun of me a bit for buying this since I am not really outdoorsy and we only go car camping but every trip something in this kit has been used. I feel like Dora the Explorer except I have a handy dandy flashlight instead of backpack!

I have had my VSSL supplies since 2017 (first called VSSL supplies, now called VSSL camp supplies) and it is ABSOLUTELY genius. I am a field biologist that works in remote parts of Alaska from remote coastal waters of the inside passage to the Arctic and this product gives me such ease of mind. And it is extremely easy to pack and know you are all set to go. They have done the hard part, all you have to do is buy it and put it in your backpack. I have taken it on boats along the Inside Passage, up mountains backcountry snowboarding, and on the Arctic ice and it has always been in my backpack giving me the best feeling of comfort. In addition to their innovative, brilliant, and sturdy products, their customer service is beyond any other company I have ever dealt with. I have ordered 7 VSSL and other additional products over the past three years and if there is ever a problem they are so very helpful and kind. With that said, there are not many problems at all but of course, we are all humans so things happen and they understand that and sincerely care about their customers. I really can't say enough about this company. They are superior to many other brands and so many ways. Thank you VSSL for all you do and thanks for caring about your customers. If you are looking at this product...dodon't hesitate, just buy it. I promise you, no regrets. And if for some reason you don't like their products (wish I highly doubt will happen) they want you to be happy and will do what they can to make sure you are. So there is no losing here. Do it!

I ordered this as a gift and it was sent directly to the recipient. So I cannot review the product itself. The recipient however said it was awesome, very cool, can’t wait to use. I can however comment on the website and how easy it was to navigate, find the product I wanted, and ordering. I would have loved the option to upgrade the top to the carabiner/compass or body to another color - which, Yes you can do with the build your own but I liked the combo of items in the standard as is, just wanted a different top. Or even the ability to just purchase the top in addition. But overall it looks like it will come in handy while camping.

Terrific idea and sure beats the old Altoid tin. It is great to have everything in one place like in your two day - 3day pack or medical pack in your vehicle. The compass is great as well as the strobe. But what you make up with everything in one spot is that they are two heavy for any kind of long back packing trip. great back up in your vehicle though.

When I repacked the contents of the VSSL I made the mistake of putting the razor blade near the compass. This caused the compass to show North in the wrong direction. When I moved the razor blade next to the flash light the compass pointed in the correct direction. You should put a warning on the razor blade container about not putting it near the compass.

Got my VSSL from a family member as a gift and have used it while camping and on the trail. It's not necessarily something you will use every day but it is a lifesaver when you need it.
