Sized for use with BOOTS
All the reviews that say what a great fin these are, are right. However ! The foot pocket is definitely designed for used with a boot. I was upgrading from cheap adjustable fins that I wore barefoot, so I did not know that boots would be an expected part of the fit on these fins. Do not make the same mistake I made. Do get these if you have scuba boots. Do not expect them to fit barefoot.
I will be going to the NYC storefront to try on full foot fins.

Hands down the BEST fins!!!
These fins are AMAZING!!! My first ever fins were similar mares & I loved them so much. I'm so glad I went back to this style/Mares when I got back into diving. will never regret it! Trusted, amazing brand w. incredible gear.
RE chart my 7.5 shoe=S but in pool test lost a fin a few times (no bungee tension, heel @edge). XS works way better for me. And I love the Aqua color! Tried buckle straps on these but liked the ease of bungee way better. Love that you can switch/replace w Mares strap system tho. Super easy to don/remove in all situations. LOVE BUNGEE! Propulsion is stellar. Easy to maneuver w, great glide, conserve air/no over-exertion. I've tested a few other fins and personally, none compare. Def worth the investment!!!! Won't dive/travel w.o them.

My go-to fins for currents
My favorite fins! This is my 2nd time purchasing these fins. They are lightweight but powerful in moderate currents. Easy to get on and off as well.

Fins are great but straps are not durable
Fins are great, easy to maneuver in the water with ease. The bungee straps are crap and will break after a couple of years of saltwater diving. If I had to purchase again I wouldn't just because of the straps knowing it would need to be replaced

LOVE these fins!
LOVE these fins! They are so easy to slip on and off, especially for beach diving. They are neutrally buoyant and don?t feel heavy underwater. They have a lot of kicking power and aren?t super hard to maneuver

Great Fins!
This was my first experience with the Mares Avanti Quattro-Plus fins and they were fantastic. They are very strong and durable, yet flexible and easily facilitate any finning technique under the water. As always, the customer service at Leisure Pro is top notch!

Mares Avanti Quattro-Plus Open Heel Fin
I have been a scuba diver for over 20 years, I have bought many name brand fins that were good but nothing like the Mares Avanti Quattro-Plus Open Heel Fin. Their light weight construction and durability literally propelled me through the water with little effort. I highly recommend these fins for all of your scuba needs, I have a friend and his have lasted ten years. Buy these fins you want regret it.

Love All New Things Scuba!
The fit on these is amazing, easy to put on, remove, and hold onto. They are lovely in the water, easy to move without a whole lot of effort, and I love how easy they are to see!

I’ve used these fins for more than a decade. They are still going strong. These fins are perfect for maneuvering in all situations. With just a flick of an ankle, you can go where you need to go. Also powerful in the currents and surge.

Size 9.5 with 5mm boot fit perfect.
I bought the demo fin in Regular size. My size 9.5 men's foot with a 5mm size 9 Mares boot is a nice fit. FYI: These definitely need a boot and not just a 5mm sock. The fin arrived in close to new condition. Is definitely stiffer and longer than my ScubaPro Go large fins (needed large for socks or bare feet).

Weekend Warrior and No Cramps
Wow. wow wow.........pretty dang amazing fin. I'm a weekend warrior and not a dive professional...but I know many that recommended this fin. They were wrong! Love them! No regretts, no cramps etc.

Good fit. Versatile
Fits good. Good for different kick styles which makes it versatile. Does need legs on the stronger side, but that comes with the heavy-gear-carrying-around workout that most if not all scuba divers go through.

Great fins for Cozumel
These fins are just great. With the bungee straps, they are easy to don and remove. They are great for finning and frog kick, and powerful enough to fin against a strong current in Cozumel if need be.
We wear them with Cressi Carib 3mm Dive Slippers, very comfortable. Previously, we tried wearing only neoprene socks, but the bungee strap would make our feet go too deep in the pocket and our toes would be crushed in the front.

Great fin to swim in strong currrents
Tried them in a recent trip to Cozumel, sometimes currents are strong and these performed as I expected. A few kicks would give enough propulsion to effortlessly move through the water. Highly recommend them
