Logs Made easy!

I love this dive computer! I picked this one because of built in Bluetooth and it had all the functions I was after. You can set the O2 percent, It will track the temperature, depth, and several important times. I did not have any issue using the Mares diving app to download the diving data from it to my phone. This makes it a lot easier to log my dives, both on my phone and on paper (yes I do both). The app can also give you a lot of useful information and fun graphs!

Reliable and reasonably priced

Very good reliable dive computer. I wish it had 3 options for algorithms rather than 2. But overall a solid reliable partner underwater

Good on its own, less so as part of any other ecosystem

I have recently purchased this very computer, to be my backup for self-reliant diving. Had I had no experience with any other dive computer, or any other dive logging application, I would be very satisfied. It has a very clear screen, simple operation for a beginner diver, and room to grow as you advance into things like nitrox diving. Were the Mares computer the only one I owned, I would be happy to use the Mares app, and go from there. The app allows me to track dives, dive profiles, equipment used, group equipment, take photos and add them, track dive sites. It is quite functional on its own. The one slightly frustrating thing for me was more a personal learning curve. When dry suit diving, if I roll to vent from my shoulder, the Puck warns me about ascending too rapidly - this is probably something I can adjust, and will have to learn to do so (or switch the Puck to my other arm, making this a very minor quibble. With that said, I have only gotten it to sync with the Mares dive log app on my iThings. I cannot export those dives from the Mares app to anything else. The Mares app does not see my other computer. I have not found an ability to connect a USB adapter to this Puck, to hopefully get past this. My preferred dive log application is Mac-Dive which has many similar functions to Mares, and purports to be able to communicate via bluetooth with the Puck Pro line. This has failed to even connect, much less download. Subsurface is next, though I consider it largely inferior to both for breadth of functionality. It, too, fails to import logs from this computer. In sort, because of this failure to communicate, despite the supposed ability of the other apps to do so, I am forced to use multiple apps to track dives and their profiles.
