For some reason, it gives a message saying low battery, even when its just been changed. Supposedly this is a known issue with these suunto wrist dive computers.

I love this computer! It's really simple and intuitive and I love the blue color, it looks great in person. It's a good computer for beginners to use and figure out, while also having some more advanced features should one wish to use them. The only reason I'm rating it down one star is because the buttons are very hard to push--my fingertips are actually sore by the time I am done setting it. I guess this is good so that a button doesn't accidently get pushed in while you are underwater and messes up your settings, but it's a literal pain to push them and set it in the first place. Once that is done, however, you are good to go!

Purchased 4 of these as very easy to operate and the large display is an added bonus. After the dive you can easily scroll through your dive profile and Dow load to computer. Never had any problems with the computer after a 100 dives and still going strong. Broke one face cover but easily replaced once you know to warm the plastic before replacing. Only criticism is the USB cable is expensive and should be part of the package.

Looks great so far, it was a gift he hasn't gotten to use yet because of the pandemic.

I’ve used the Zoop Novo for over 110 dives now. Very easy to use and has all needed info on one easily read screen. Easy to adjust nitrox %. Been thru couple protective screens, easily broken when rough and arm slams ladder, but I’ve been more careful lately and current screen lasting longer. Put on rubber cover which makes buttons more difficult but when setting I just move rubber out of the way. Hearing alarms isn’t easy, but unless you’re using air integrated with alarm right next to ear you’ll never hear any wrist mounted computer anyway. Very, very good for the money. Does everything I need. Really, really like the Zoop Novo.

My husband and I both have Zoops. Simple to set up and use. We're kind of "old school".

I really do not like this computer. It is exceptionally difficult to switch between Nitrox and Air. I have to review the YouTube video and consult my written notes every time. Plus it is hyper sensitive and locks you out of diving if you cut the safety stop by even 5 seconds (I took a second computer along test how sensitive it is. Ridiculous.) It is hard to use and I will replace it with a different manufacturer ASAP. Save your money.

Always been a huge Suunto fan. Novo Zoop is good but not as well designed on the face as the original Vyper. Ascent chart is only 2 colors instead of 3 and the LCD isn't as vivid but still a quality device for the pricepoint. Happy diving!!

Newbie diver and wanted something simple. This works great. All of the information that I needed is easy to find. I know when I need to do my safety stop and when I can fly. Love the color too. I bought green and in the water it looks yellowish.

After a two decade hiatus from diving, this was my 1st computer. It is easy to learn (definitely go to YouTube) and is an accurate tool for what I use it for.

Sturdier build than my last puck style computer, my first Suunto purchase, very pleased with the price point and the quality.

Very user friendly, easy to read large display even at 130ft. I have 71 dives and 50 hours on this watch and it has worked extremely well. Very good battery life, I haven't even had to change it yet and I have been diving with it for over a year.

I just used mine for the first time diving in Bonaire. I like almost everything about it. Two things though that I don't like: the buttons are difficult to push! The online manual for it is just terrible. I found one for an earlier model that was helpful, but the new one for this model is not good.

Bought this Dive Computer when I started out diving in 2016 & there is nothing I can complain about so far, may be a little to bulky due to some with small wrists. Works well, easy to use, great, simple & robust Design - readability underwater & on surface - perfect. Connected to a Computer & u can sync your logs with Suuntos DM5 Software + Movescount online. (data cable was included). Iam happy :-)

There is a reason why Suunto Zoops are used by dive shops and charter operators around the world - they are reliable, easy to use, last forever and the battery is easy to replace. Can't go wrong on this dive computer for recreational diving.

My wife used it on a recent trip to The Maldives. She said it was excellent. It was easy to use, accurate, reliable and rugged. Setting it was a breeze and retrieving data after each dive was quick. I bought it based on the first rate information provided by your technical representative who took the time to explain the product’s benefits. For that, my wife and I are appreciative. Thank you.Phil Cox

It has all you need for your dive, either diving with air or nitrox or even free dive. However if you intend to wear it as your primary watch then you should consider another watch size model.

Mixed feelings on this computer so far. I've had a difficult time setting the gas mix in Nitrox mode. The menu system does not seem to respond as described in the users manual. Also, so far I cannot get the temp reading to display at all. Otherwise, display is large and clear, an improvement over the old Zoop. I had hoped the menu system would have been the same as to old Zoop but no such luck.

An essential piece of diving kit. The computer is easy to use once you have read the quick guide and familiarised yourself with the manual. I am an avid fan of Suunto initially with their running computers T5, then an Ambit2, now a Spartan, so the choice for me was natural. Putting my positive bias aside this is a feature packed unit and maybe the only dive computer you will ever need. So far I have made in excess of 30 dives with no problems.

Just what I needed - Zoop Novo
By GarethCo
Borrowed my sister-in-laws last year for PADI OW course. Bought 2 this year for my son and I as we completed AOW course. They are great - love the large font which is esay to read on day and night dives. Works straight out of the box. Are large and snag when getting arm in to BCD, but wear with face on inside of wrist to avoid this - and is easier to read when diving.
Whether you're just starting out on your diving journey or looking to explore new underwater adventures, Suunto Zoop Novo has everything you need. With your easy-to-understand key dive data available at a glance on the big, super-bright backlit display, all you need to do is suit up, dive down, and enjoy the view. This simple to use dive computer includes full decompression capabilities, five dive modes (Air, Nitrox, Gauge, Free and Off) and straight-forward, menu-based Suunto user interface. The Zoop Novo dive computer from Suunto is a wrist-mounted computer that will not only enhance your time under water; it will also help you be a safer diver without breaking the bank. Its ability to operate in air, nitrox, gauge and free dive modes, safety features (decompression stop data, audible alarms, and easy-to-read display), and simple menus mean the Zoop Novo will provide critical dive data when it is needed quickly and accurately. It employs the reduced gradient bubble model (RGBM), which is an algorithm developed to calculate decompression stops; this algorithm is a model used to determine how much gas is accumulated during a dive and how much time is required at your safety stop(s) to safely surface.
Suunto's Zoop Novo is PC-compatible, so you can easily store your dive data (up to 140-hours) and logs on a PC. It is activated by water, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to start your computer and losing a single dive's valuable data. Because this computer is wrist mounted, there's never a need to search for your gauge console when you want to check on your depth, maximum bottom time, dive time, and no deco time. All that information is available at a moment's notice, right on your wrist. In addition, the Zoop Novo's has a new back lite display which makes seeing your dive data easy during night and day dives.
The ZOOP Novo provides a depth display to 260' (80m), its clock can be set with a 12 or 24-hour format, provides temperature reading above and below the surface to 1.5-degrees F (1-degrees C) accuracy and is altitude adjustable up to 10,000' (3,000m). The computer can be programed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 50% oxygen and displays oxygen partial pressures from 17.4 psi to 23.2 psi (1.2 to 1.6 bars). The Zoop Novo is powered by a user replaceable 3-volt CR2450 lithium-ion battery. The Zoop Novo can be set for imperial (feet) or metric (meter) measurements. The Zoop Novo has an enlarged segment matrix screen, excellent contrast and information with bigger and clearer digits for depth, no-decompression etc., and a new 4 button interface for easier more intuitive diver use. Computer comes with a quick guide.
Writing in a log book is time consuming and if you don't have good handwriting illegible. Log books are small and difficult to fill in the blanks. TheOptionalSuunto USB Download Kit (see SKU: SQTPCUSBD) is for uploading logbook dives to a PC/MAC to optionally store and organize the data, compute statistics, simulate dives and personalize the logbook file. Rather than filling out the logbook, just print out your log sheets to prove your diving experience. The USB cable enables you to connect your dive computer toSuunto DM5, available for PC and Mac.
