I purchased my Z3 with a Z2 alt. I put in 175 dives in 74 days in the water. I have had no issues what so ever with either reg. I have been in every position I could get in underwater, head down, head up, upside down, and any other position I could get in. I did have a raspy sound when face up in the prone position, but no leakage. I frequently position myself that way when under wrecks or reefs. I am considering purchasing two more Z3s to make a sidemount rig with. To say I am pleased with my purchase is an understatement. Worth every dollar I spent.

super reg for those that dont/cant break the bank. i buy for 2 (my wife and myself) so this was priced right and, true to form, youre getting the quality of an atomic.

It was a good product, but when you breath upside down, the reg can get a bit raspy and water leakage often occurs. Also, the swivel is prone to getting "stuck", where it no longer moves smoothly. A good thing is that, as advertised, the bubbles do steer clear from your face. All in all, a good reg, but not necessarily worth the money

This is a very well manufactured regulator. I have just logged 20 dives on this since I received it a couple weeks ago. This REG is very easy and effortless to breath. The first stage does have a unique way that the lines connect to, but it does not cause any discomfort or problems whatsoever. I would strongly recommend to a friend.

Easy to assemble. Has so many ports, too many for us but maybe good to have in the future.

This is a great regulator. I love it. The only thing to consider is that if you ever think you might decided to use a high pressure tank (and you probably will) get the DIN valve on the first stage and buy a yoke converter. I switched mine useing a DIN converter kit, which was easy enough, but taking that off and putting a yoke back on requires having the right tools and ideally you don't want to do it too often. However, attaching a yoke converter to a DIN valve is easier. You can put it on and take it off with no tools if you need to. For a few extra dollars I think it's worth haveing the flexibility and convenience.

ATOMIC Z3/YOKE
By FRANCISCO Q.
excellent. perfect for me especially since I have given up on cold water! (getting older)
The Atomic Aquatics Z3 is a compact and budget-friendly regulator that outshines even the most expensive competitors. Based on the B1/T1 platform, it offers the same performance and patented features as the Z2, plus some extras. Its balanced flow-thru piston design uses a high-flow stainless steel piston and a self-lubricating high-pressure piston seal for low maintenance. The unique jet seat system prevents seat damage over time, and the precision-machined valve seats enable a 2-year or 300-dive service interval. The Z3 excels in diving performance even at low tank pressures.
Freeze-protected and factory-sealed, the Z3's first stage prevents silt and sand contamination. It's Nitrox-ready up to 40% and features 2 high-pressure and 7 low-pressure ports.
The Z Series second stage boasts a balanced linear flow design for effortless breathing at all depths and conditions. Built to last, it features a Zirconium plated brass demand valve body, titanium lever, sealing orifice, and high-quality silicone rubber diaphragm. The patented seat-saving dynamic orifice extends the life of the second-stage poppet seat when not pressurized.
The Z series second stage is equipped with Atomic Aquatics' patented automatic flow control (AFC) for optimal breathing resistance. A soft over-molded rapid adjustment knob is available for special situations. The titanium comfort swivel eliminates the "pulling effect" when turning your head underwater, allowing 30 Degree rotational movement without binding or kinking.
The Z3 offers a high-flow second stage case, magnum lever design, dual material second stage cover for easy purging, and a dual silicone comfort fit mouthpiece. It comes with a 3/8" threaded 32" low-pressure hose, weighs 2.6 lbs., and includes an owner's manual. Experience the exceptional performance and value of the Atomic Aquatics Z3.
