VLADIMIR I : Does this fit OUTSIDE of the case for DC1400?John R : Also, if you enter the water with it already snapped to the housing, take if off and shake both camera and lens to remove air bubbles, then snap it back onto the housing.John R : Yes, it snaps onto the waterproof housing of the camera. Make sure you have a secure cord with a clip to connect it to the housing (or a vest D-ring) when not in use.TREVOR D : It snaps into place over the lens outside of the housing. You'll want to be sure to pull it off and snap it back into place once you're in the water, to eliminate any air bubbles between this lens and the lens on the camera housing.

When you need to get everything in the shot.
With the SeaLife Wide Angle Lens for DC Series Cameras (see SKU's: SLF740, SLF740K, SLF740WAL, SLF740P, SLF744, SLF746, SLF745), you can stay within the shooting range of your flash and still fit everything in the shot. The wide-angle lens will take a full-frame picture of a 5' (1.5 meter) shark within a 5' (1.5 meter) shooting distance. Note: On SeaLife DC800, DC1400, and DC2000 (see SKU: SLF740) images will vignette slightly. 24mm wide angle lens increases shooting angle by about 50%. Lenses minimum focus distance is approximately 12" (30.5 cm). The lens magnification is 65x. Easily presses on and off your SeaLife camera, even while underwater, for a secure fit. Sharp focus same as respective camera focus distance. Fully-multi coated optical glass design with 3 groups and 3 elements. Lens is waterproof to 200' (60 meters). Lens diameter is 2.52" (64 mm) and weighs 9 oz. (250 g). Includes neoprene lens covers (front and back).
