The Sea & Sea Wide Angle Conversion Lens fits over the housing port and can be installed and removed during the dive. Perfect for shooting seascape, divers, ship wrecks and schools of fish, without moving further away from the subject, thereby still taking full advantage of water clarity and artificial light sources. This wide-angle conversion lens covers a maximum field angle equivalent to approx. 19.3mm (35mm film camera equivalent) when used with the Sea & Sea DX-GE5, DX-1200HD and 860G Camera/Housings (The lens can be used on land as well as underwater). The Lens has 3 elements in 3 groups, has an underwater view of 79½ (98½ on land). The lens provides a magnification of 0.55X. The lens body is constructed of corrosion-resistant aluminum with an alumite coating finish and has an optical glass lens. The Sea & Sea Wide Angle Conversion Lens measures (Dia. x D), 2.6" x 1.7" (64mm x 42mm), weighs 5.8 oz. (165 g) and has a depth rating of 200' (60m)
*The lens can be used on land, but slight vignetting (dimming) may occur in the four corners of the image. Slightly zoom in to telephoto to eliminate vignetting.
*When the wide-angle conversion lens is attached, its shadow can appear on the picture if the built-in flash is used. Using an external strobe together with the built-in flash is recommended.
