Improve at least 1 minute per 100m breaststroke.

I'm mid-40, and I swim for leisure. My previous 100m breaststroke time was about 3 minutes 20 seconds. With TYR Men's Hurricane® Neo Shorts Cat 1 pants, it corrected my hip position and the time was reduced by 1 minute, a big improvement.

Great neoprene shorts, minor complaint

Shorts fit well per size chart; my only complaint is that the tag was attached to the tie strap inside one of the grommets, which caused it to come loose.

Great for training

I am training for a triathlon and don't normally swim regularly. I could feel the decrease in drag from the beginning (I was wearing board shorts before). I did have to buy a size up because my lower body doesn't fit the frame of a regular swimmer despite my waist size. The return procedure was super easy though.

Fastest swim ever

I had my fastest swims ever in these Neo shorts. I took off 30 seconds from my 10 lap freestyle. I found it challenging to keep them as snug as I would like in the waste. I went down from a large to a medium and will report in once I receive them.

Just what I was looking for

I wanted these shorts to provide buoyancy when swimming outdoors. I was not as fast as when swimming with my full-length wetsuit, but noticeably faster than with just a regular swimsuit. They are comfortable to wear over tri shorts and easy to put on and take off.

Snug / Race fit - Consider sizing up

Went with the medium as I was straddling the sm/med based on the sizing chart. Fit is snug yet very comfortable and maneuverable. I imagine they wouldn't have fit if i went small. Definitely err to the side of a larger size in these shorts. As far as performance goes, they do an amazing job of keeping water out and keeping me warm.

Recommended by a former Olympian in order to maintain a little better balance, to focus on stroke and catch - where I needed more work. Can feel just enough lift, which allows for proper pool work to be conducted. Very effective later int he set when you begin to tire/gas out. Truly a game changer!

Get water in the trunks

Get water in the trunks when I do a flip turn in the pool haven't used in the open ocean by expectable won't be a problem there the buoyancy is good and I do swim faster
