This snorkel is also a replacement for another TUSA snorkel bought 20 years ago. I expect no less from TUSA than a great product.

It worked so well, I gave it to my 10 year old when he had troubles with his snorkel. Then my daughter had trouble and we ended up getting more while on vacation. They worked great for all of is!

Very good snorkel, easy to evacuate all the water in, being clear transparent makes easy to inspect for anything inside abd keep it teally clean

The snorkel works great, it is comfortable, and nearly completely dry. Note that this is a LEFT sided snorkel. You have to remove the mask head strap to thread it through the retaining clip...something you can't do sitting on the edge of the boat! Once the clip is on the headband, it is fairly easy to attach/remove the snorkel from the head strap.

Very pleased with this snorkel. It’s exactly what I expected from all the research I conducted. The only small disappointment was the color of the water guard and mouth piece was not as dark blue as what I expected from the online pictures. Regardless, I would recommend it

This snorkel very rarely gets water inside, fits very well, attractive, easy on the jaw, and a great color too. I bought the blue one to match my mask...

This snorkel works very well and is flexible enough to fold up into a BC pocket. Not quite like a true folding snorkel but pretty good if you don't want your snorkel attached while diving.

Perfect for a beginner snorkeler. Rental gear is always a sure way to ruin someone's interest in snorkeling. This gave the beginner s great experience.

My husband and I started using Hyperdry Tusa mask and snorkel for more than 17 years now. We love it. We are ocean swimmers majority of the time and are also divers. We also swim in the pool during winter. I use my diving mask and snorkel in the pool but my husband doesn't. It is the best product we have experienced with and will remain faithful. We highly recommend them !!!

Great semi-dry snorkel for scuba diving. I didn't want a dry snorkel mainly due to them being larger and add extra drag when diving. Usually cleared at first attempt. Very easy airway control in the case first purge attempt didn't clear it completely.

I use them personally as well as all my students use them. Its the only snorkel in my rental equipment. Others may meet it but they wont beat it.

The size and weight of this snorkel are the reason I like it. Some snorkels are large and heavy. This snorkel is easy to use when I surface from a dive or just snorkeling. The mouthpiece is just the right size.

After I lost my Hyperdry MAX I bought this from my LDS as a more cost efficient alternative. I've used it on dives and snorkeling and it has impressed me greatly. The mouthpiece being smaller than the SP-200's regulator size mouthpiece is extremely comfortable. I've actually had this in my mouth snorkeling for over 4 striaght hours without discomfort or any after effects. As a semi-dry snorkel it works well even in rough water conditions and is very easy to clear when flooded. The flexible neck also means it stays out of your way while scuba diving. Unlike the image shown here the one I got from the LDS had a standard snorkel keeper where you slip the mask strap through the opening. Personally I like the TUSA keeper seen in the image which is standard on the SP-200s. It is very convenient where you can slip the snorkel off with one hand as the keeper comprises 2 sections which clip into each other. One part has the mask strap threaded through it and the other is attached to the snorkel. All in all a great product. However nothing beats a dry snorkel IMHO. At the end of the day breathing thorugh a snorkel is about technique and not product but it never hurts to have something that makes your life a little easier.

I used it in Cozumel for snorkeling and diving. The top piece covering the air inlet fell off within an hour of being in the water and I couldn't find it again. Really bummed out b/c it was hard to find a red snorkel. It worked OK the rest of the time but who know what else would have fallen off with repeated use.

I use the snorkel for surface scuba swims in heavy seas so I need a snorkel to breathe easily. I returned this as it felt too restrictive and went back to my trusty US Divers Aquarius.

I have owned several snorkels and this is the first one that I am completely satisfied with. It is light-weight, low-profile, easy to breathe, aquadynamically designed, impressively resistent to flooding, easy to purge, it looks cool and it has a comfortable mouthpiece. It's worth noting that this is not a "truly dry" snorkel. That is, it doesn't have any sort of mechanism that seals the bore when you submerge. I have owned those types of snorkels and didn't really like them as they had a tendency to close up at inopportune times, and occassionally got stuck. Although the Tusa is not "truly dry", it is very intelligently engineered and reduces flooding by, I would say, more than 50%. When it does flood (which is not often) it is very easy to clear. I use a snorkel when I scuba dive and this one does a great job of staying out of the way, not creating much drag, AND it has a clip (plus it's foldable) so you can easily remove it from your mask and store it in your BC if you felt so inclined. Again, I have had several snorkels (none of which were cheap) and this is the only one I've been happy with and the only one I would replace with an identical one should it end up broken or lost.

I have been diving for 13 years. I have always used the same ole snorkel and thought I was fine with that. Upgraded to this masterpiece and couldn't be happier. This is definantly a snorkel for those of us who don't like cheap breakable mechanisms. No flaps floats or otherwise on this one. Just simple engineering and a great design. Purges easily, did the job...and that's all that matters right. Oh by the way...I'm extremely picky when it comes to quality. 5 Stars

Still the best

This is my third TUSA snorkel. I've one from each major design update and each is better than the previous one. This one keeps with tradition and I think it's the best snorkel out there.
Great Snorkel
By Jerrod
I have 4 TUSA snorkels (obviously, I like them). This one is just the latest design and has the same kind of purge valve at the bottom of the mouthpiece and the Hyperdry overflow at the top as the previous Hyperdry models. Improvements from the Imprex II Hyperdry include: 3 rectifying plates in the upper hyperdry system, help water flow out before entering the pipe. More ergonomic mouthpiece. Detachable swivel connector, reduces feeling of pull on the mouthpiece. Slightly flattened pipe, an...

Step up your snorkeling game with the SP-170 Platina II Hyperdry Snorkel from TUSA, a pinnacle of innovation in semi-dry snorkels. Packed with top-notch features and a sleek design, this snorkel ensures an enhanced and seamless underwater adventure. The patented Hyperdry System is a hallmark of this snorkel, offering a dry main tube by deftly expelling water through a separate escape pipe. This inventive design relies on the tube's angle and water surface resilience for water expulsion.
Our unique smooth internal bore corrugated lower tube promotes a comfortable fit. The ergonomically angled mouthpiece eases pressure, maintaining straightness during diving and seamlessly switching from snorkel to Scuba regulator.
For a hassle-free experience, we provide a swivel adapter snorkel keeper. This two-part construction lets the snorkel rotate and attach horizontally, facilitating quick detachment from the mask when required. The high flow purge design includes a large diameter purge valve for straightforward, fast clearing, decreasing the amount of water in the mouthpiece instantly.
This snorkel comes in a variety of colors to match your gear and features a replaceable mouthpiece to prolong its lifespan, just like your Scuba regulator.
