I love my Tusa X-pert zoom fins. I had a pair of them (probably an older version) that I bought in 2002 that lasted me 19 years of scuba diving and snorkeling (laps) at my local Rec center pool once or twice a week. When they finally broke, I went to my local dive shop and shopped for fins. It seemed like other styles of fins were more popular so I tried a different brand that were not the split fin style. After swimming with them in the pool I could see they were not as fast, powerful or comfortable. I tried a second pair (popular brand) and they were actually painful so I returned them. I then decided I had to go back to what I knew and loved--my Tusa X-pert zoom fins. They have a very comfortable foot pocket and give me the power and speed I want when I dive and snorkel. The size I ordered (med) seems just slightly larger than I need but it was the size that was recommended. I am tempted to order a small and see how they fit, but the med works fine. I do love the fins and recommend them! Leisure Pro has a great selection of scuba gear and great service too.

Wonderful fins, easy on the knees. Not for speed, but great for extended time in the water.

Work well, not much resistance to kick, will not tire you quickly.

I have had these fins for 7 years and they have worked well in no to little current conditions (i.e. lakes, Caribbean) . I realized that they are not so good in conditions where currents can be strong like in the Red Sea. I struggled with these during my last two trip there. For my next trip to Egypt I'll be taking blade fins. Also don't go by the Leisurepro size chart, they run large.

These fins take a bit to get used to. I have used them for about 5 dives. I would highly recommend them to divers of all levels.

I wear a size 9 men's and hot the mediums I think it would've been better to get the small as the springs not seem tight enough to hold my heel when kicking hard. With the straps that were provided I can tighten it up tight enough to work other than that they are great find.

Bought these fins a week before heading to the Keys for mini lobster season after talking to my local dive shop about the s[lit fin design. I love them!!! They replace my old Tusa fins I bought nearly 40 years ago. The split fin design was less tiering and I had no loss of thrust in rough waters and current. I would strongly recommend.

Had the these fins which last me 12 years plus. Now they have a crack and will buy the same ones. A little expensive but worth the buy.

These are the best all around fins I've ever dove. They are great on the surface and so easy on the legs without sacrificing performance. I have other fins from other brands and one in particular that has won top awards for years and years. It has nothing on these fins. I've tried other split fins also that don't compare to these. These frog kick very well also. These Z3s are great. So much so I have three pairs. Blue, Yellow and Red. My son loves them also.

I have owned at least 10 different kinds of fins. OK I have a slight fin problem. The Tusa Z3 is far and away my favorite fin I have ever used. the 27 degree offset of the fin is the key. It makes the fin propel you forward instead of forward and up. With the split fin design you need to use a different style of kicking than a stiff blade fin. I use a flutter kick at a higher RPM that is not as long of a kick as with a stiff blade fin. It is less work to kick this way and i have no problem keeping up with my freinds that use rocket fins, but my legs ache less than theirs do. Do yourself a favor, buy these fins and enjoy the difference. Leisure pro has the best price by far and you get the awesome spring strap free. Buy these , you wont be sorry.

Great Fins, I have use regularly they feel efficient and great for Scuba, the only problem is that they are a little bit heavy for travel, but it´s not a problem if you travel lightweight, totally recommended

The SF-15 Z3 is a big improvement over the older SF-8 model. The biggest area of improvement is feedback to the diver. These fins are built a little stiffer and longer, which allows you to feel them better as you kick. As far as split fins go, these are a great pair. As far as Split vs. Paddle goes, there are situations where split fins perform noticeably better. I own multiple pairs of both types, and use each depending on the type of dive. I use split fins when: warm/open water diving, covering a lot of distance at a fast pace, chasing down moving photo opportunities, swimming against weak ~ moderate currents,

I started diving with these fins. I have since purchased 8 other types of fins to try different styles, etc. I thought I'd get a new pair of these to see how they may differ, or if they had changed. They are still good, light and reasonably efficient. I started experimenting with other designs to get more power in currents. I don't know how these will be in that situation yet. Nice and easy to fin, though! Watch out for sizing. I use Large/X-Large on others, Medium with these.

The box use for delivery is way too big. I had to pay double the shipping cost. I have shipped the goods. Its not worth buying if you are shipping overseas.

Got these fins in red for my 16 year old daughter and blue for myself. Just returned from a dive trip to Cozumel. These fins did not disappoint. They are easy fins to manage. They offer the flexibility of a split fin and the rigidity of a solid fin in a unique combination. Easy to get power when you need it and offered a nice smooth manueverability on the drift dives. I especially like the closed toed foot for cold water use 40 degrees. Size runs a bit large.

They have more power than the originals but your leg muscles will notice the difference, these are also somewhat heavier, I wish Tusa still made the original version too, it would be my first choice.

It takes no effort to pick up speed . I really like how easy it is and how lil I have to move to get around under water ! saves a lot of air .

These are nice fins. I bought them to replace some really stiff paddles, that gave me cramps. These are still relatively stiff, but I experienced no cramps on 6 dives in 2 days. They are also very comfortable and hug my feet just right. My air consumption did seem to improve a bit compared to my last fins, but nothing out of this world. One of the nicest features is the 20 degree angle on the fin blades. When I used to do surface swims on my back my fins would come out of the water and I felt really inefficient in the water. These fins solved that problem completely. On the surface, I can now move pretty effortlessly. Was pleasantly surprised that -at least for me- frog kicking worked better than expected. Underwater, I had no problem keeping up with other divers, but I didn't feel like a speed racer either. When I bought these, they came with free spring straps which were very well made and worked like a charm. Easy on, easy off. All in all, would buy again.

Haven't had the opportunity to use these fins yet. The "boot" portion of the fin is deeper than my older fins which lets the boot extend further up my foot and in my opinion to far. That was with a new 3 mil pair of booties. However, if I use my old Tusa FX 5 mil booties the fitment is better. Ill have a better idea in 2 weeks when diving in Cozumel. The free Tusa Spring Straps provided dont even fit the fins. The strap clips are to small to lock onto the fin posts. Maybe someone should investigate that further as those fin straps are useless. The original adjustable rubber straps work though.

Great set of fins. They glide so easily in the water compared to my old fins, and they handled great even in high current in NC Atlantic water! They fit great, and are very comfortable. My only complaint and the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 starts, is that I was excited about the free spring straps that came with it, but the spring straps were too loose and they kept coming off in the water. So I ended up switching to the regular straps on that dive and things went great from there. But I sure would have loved it if the spring straps fit on snugly.

Superb! Best fins I've tried

WoW! I was shocked at the power of these fins and the control they give you. Once you get the small ankle kick style (expends next to no energy). Only downside is you need to get a pair for your budy, otherwise in 2 strokes you'll loose them. They are a little heavy, so that needs to be considered for travel.
Over 5 years of research and development brought the highly regarded and best-selling SF-8 X-Pert Zoom split fin to market in 2003. TUSA redefines the fin market again with the introduction of the SF-15 X-Pert Zoom Z3. The X-Pert 3Z further improves upon the performance, features and design of the SF-8 with the incorporation of 3 materials, 10% longer blade length, enhanced propeller-fin technology, reinforced blade rails and optimized blade scoops. These new features along with TUSA's patented 27° angled blade design and EZ strap buckle system make the X-Pert Zoom Z3 The Fin for Divers".
When using the standard traditional blade fin, with the leg completely extended, there remains an angle of 27° between the heel and the foot and the calf of the leg, causing a 10% loss of propulsion. Because the fin is angled below the body, during the kick phase, the body is pushed forward and down, instead of straight ahead. With the X-Pert Z3 Fin, that 27° angle has been designed into the fin. This means that 100% of the energy expended during the kick phase is directed toward the propulsion of the diver. To achieve maximum performance from this fin, use a small bent knee kick with a light rhythm. This creates less strain on the leg muscles compared with traditional fins, reducing the diver's fatigue and subsequent air consumption.
TUSA's advanced split fins employ propeller fin technology, which delivers ultra-high performance with a low amplitude rapid flutter kick. As the fin moves through the water its two wing-shaped surfaces create lift and forward propulsion like a propeller. Any water traveling over the top of the blade is funneled into and out of the split between the blades. Efficiency is increased while drag and effort is reduced. Fins are equipped with TUSA's high quality stainless-steel spring straps with TUSA's EZ buckle system. The spring straps do not need to be adjusted for size and easily slip over the heel securely when donning and doffing the fins. The EZ buckle system has squeeze-style" side-release buckles allowing quick and easy adjustments with minimal effort. Adjustment can be made while the fins are worn, allowing for a precise fit and ease of removal when necessary. Spring straps are also depth compensating and automatically adjust for wet suit boot compression at depth. Straps are equipped with a comfortable rubber heel grip with a large finger loop for an easy fit. The TUSA X-Pert Zoom Z3 Fins are available in multiple sizes and colors. Fin measure 22.8" to 25.7" (57.8 cm to 65.3 cm) depending on size.
