I am not a diver but bought the HEED to go on our aviation life vests. Recently my wife and I went on vacation flying our high wing airplane, you know, the kind where the cabin would end up underwater in a ditching. Since we had several legs over water I outfitted ourselves appropriately. While we did not (thankfully) need the gear for the trip I was pleased at how well the HEED integrated with our modular crew vests and fit since cockpit space is limited in a private plane. After receiving tips from a diving instructor, we tried the device before we left to gain some familiarity and found them easy to use and a comfort to have. I highly recommend the HEED for part of your over water safety gear.
