Sean C : How do I remove the old compass and install the new one?B C : You will need to disassemble the screws on the gauge. Should be done by a service tec or someone with knowledge of this gauge. We can not offer step by step instructions.

Compasses for difference zones come balanced different from the factory, since the Earth's magnetic field changes in strength and directional pull depending on where you are in the world in relation to the magnetic poles. You can use a zone 1 compass in zone 2 without noticing too much of a difference, but the further you get from the zone your compass is calibrated for, the more error in your readings.

Wisdom Compass

This compass was purchased along with my Sherwood Wisdom II dive computer. It has a very easy to read top and side pannel. The actual displays are very bright and crisp even though it has a black and white face. This compass came pre-assembled to my dive computer housing and matches perfectly. certainly a great deal for my money. Not only do I recommend the Sherwood Wisdom II dive computer and the Sherwood Wisdom Compass, I also HIGHLY recommend Scuba.com and their PROFFESSIONAL crew! A awesome team!

You have a Wisdom Computer Console (see SKU's: SWDW3, SWDW3QD) and found out that there are no street signs on the bottom and knowing which way to go is becoming a problem. Upgrade your Wisdom Dive Computers with navigation capabilities by adding this compass kit. The kit includes: Compass, durable rubber mounting boot with bracket and screws.

Many divers take compasses for granted, considering them just an accessory to an overall dive gauge console system. Trying to navigate with a poorly designed or improperly functioning compass can be one of diving's more frustrating events. The Sherwood Compass design is liquid filled compass with a list of features as functional and convenient as every instrument that bears the Sherwood name. The Sherwood is actually-a-dual-purpose-compass. The convenient side window allows quick reference of large, easy to read bearing indicators on a luminescent display for gun-sight accuracy. Or, for divers who prefer relative navigation, the ratchet bezel can be rotated easily even with thick neoprene gloves.

The luminous dial of the compass is designed with a half black / half luminous graphic to make quick work of compass direction, especially in dim light. The dial (compass card) rests on a precision jeweled bearing and incorporates extremely strong magnets for super-quick response and accuracy. While the compass module itself is very compact, the housing has a large vertical interior allowing viewing angles that would stop other compasses in their tracks. The compass bezel has compass headings in 30 Degree numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10 Degree. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face.
