Questions & Answers

JEFFREY W : Great advice. I bought the Scubapro Go Sports for my son from Leisrepro in size large. I also tried them on and found the foot pocket quite comfortable. At same time, I’m leaning toward the Triton Pro because they are stiffer. I ordered both the Large/XL and the Medium. I feel like I’m in between sizes: my shoe size is 11 and i wear a 3mm Henderson aqua lock boot. Furthermore, I noted a little pressure on the top of the foot pocket toward the opening. Might this persist or be noticeable while in the water? Also, any suggestions on how to decide best size? Was thinking the medium may be better Because it is shorter in length and hence perhaps better for packing et. Thoughts on right size and whether I should be concerned with noticeable top of foot pressure such that I should more seriously consider another fin? The Trton Pro is noticeably more shallow compared to the ScubaPro Go Sport size Large and the SP foot pocket is also much softer—that fin felt like a glove from a foot pocket perspective. But it’s not as stiff, of course!Mario C : Hi Jeff, my opinion on the toe has 3 parts. - normally what bothers a little out of the water bothers much more while diving. - boots/ fins(foot pockets) and feet is a 3 piece puzzle and only 2 of it you can choose different ones ( sizing up or down boots and SOLE size makes a difference too. ) - the fin normally pushes out while being worked under water.. make sure the toe pressure is not only while stepping on it. Hope it helps.
JEFFREY W : I have very strong legs and am looking for a great all around scuba fin (not a split fin) for tropical and/or live aboard diving. Maneuverability and power. Debating between Atomic X1, scubapro fo sport, and sherwoood triton pro?Mario C : I believe from your details the triton would make you happier is the stiffest of the bunch for sure and loads of happy divers with it. I would like to try the Atomic.. I own and love the go sport for my relaxing dives..( rather than my typical spearfishing ones)RICHARD D : The Triton Pro's are a bit stiffer than the Scubapro Go Sport. I have both the Tritons and the Triton Pros/ The Pros are about 20% stiffer. Will give you good power and still allow for maneuverability. They are not an overly compact fin - so not ideal for tight spaces.ONEAL T : All pretty good. Triton Pro are the best fins I have owned for short burst and distance. I owned a pair of X1 and ditched them for the Triton Pro. They just seemed a little goofy but still provided burst. Maybe takes getting used to. The Go sport are similar to a rescue fin. Definitely good for short bursts of power and the pack smaller. Again, I favor the triton pro.
Elisha F : How long are these in size small?Mario C : Small – 4.6lbs per pair – 26 inches long Regular – 4.8lbs per pair – 27 inches long X-Large – 5.3lbs per pair – 28.5 inches long
CHRISTOPHER D : What is the length and weight on the Sherwood Trition Pro Fins in XL?ONEAL T : Should have exact specs but if you have strong legs they are amazing. A bit long but works with the stiffness of fin. Very much on the light side. Regular Tritons float and these are almost neutral.
Shopper : What is the buoyancy characteristic of the pro fin?Mario C : Have not had in the water myself, or have the information on fin spec at manufacturer site. I believe it is neutral in fresh and slightly positive in salt. https://www.sherwoodscuba.com/products/fins/products/~2190-TRITON-PRO-FINS

Powerful and Fast

I own a pair of Sherwood Triton fins and loved them. They were already powerful. The Triton Pro Fins are on a whole other level. For people that like stiff fins that are also light weight, I highly recommend these guys. Great in current and extremely fast.

The Sherwood Triton Pro is exactly what it sounds like a professional version of the Triton Fins. Essentially identical in its appearance to the Triton, the Triton Pro uses a modified thermo plastic urethane (TPU) compound that provides a stiffer blade and foot pocket. The Triton Pro has more snap in the blade, which results in more power and responsiveness. Like a car with a tight suspension, this is not for everyone. But if you are strong legs and want a fin that gets you somewhere quickly, this is a tremendous fin. Divers will find sculling and back kicking easier in the Triton Pro. The Triton Pro comes standard with stainless-steel heel straps for increased durability and ease of use.

Triton Pro by Sherwood is a fin with three vents between the foot pocket and blade that provide additional thrust on the down kick and decrease drag on the up kick or recovery. Foot pocket shape and size derived from years of research to satisfy the most exciting requirements for comfort and power. The fin blades ribbed design focuses the water down the length of the blade for increased power and thrust. The stainless-steel straps are equipped with a large heel finger loops and squeeze-style side-release buckles for easy donning and doffing. The Sherwood Triton Pro Fins have a vented blade design. Fins are available in multiple sizes.
