Shopper : Will this convert an older Sherwood Brut regulator?Mario C : yes and no,,,, Brut first stages have been in the market for many years and there a few different series.. this will work with any series 5000. So 5100, 5200 etc... It may not be written on the first stage itself.

I bought mine in 1999, and this adapter worked with it. I don't know which regulator is identified by SRB7100CE however, if your first stage yolk attachment, when removed, is large enough and thread compatable with the DIN conversion module, it should work fine.CURTIS W : As long as the first stage has a MALE thread, this should work. Berrie v : Does this fit the SRB5300CE regulator and doesn't the DIN tank pressure of 300 bar damage the reg, as it is rated for only 232 bar ?JERRY O : Don't know about the reg fit, but 300 bar is in the 4300 psi range, not sure anyone is running those kind of pressures on a scuba tank. DAN M : I've only used it with the Blizzard, not the Magnum, but I've had no problems. I would guess that it would fit all of the older Sherwood models. Regardless of whether you're using yoke or DIN fittings, keep your tank fills under 232 bar and you won't have to worry. My DIN tank won't hold anywhere near the 300 bar rating on the fitting. I'm sure I've run above the 232 limit, but I've never had a problem. If you did overpressure the regulator, it would probably just vent out the release port until the pressure was at a level it could hold.

You started diving with yoke style cylinder valves, but you feel the higher cylinder pressure available with DIN cylinders will be an advantage to your style of diving. Well, this kit will allow you to do just that, shed the yoke and increase bottom time with this 300-bar (4,350 psi) DIN conversion kit. The kit is designed for the older model Sherwood first stage regulators.

Also, Scuba divers who travel overseas will want to have a DIN adapter to adapt to the tanks available at the local dive sites. The adapter allows you to easily convert your first stage, if required, so you can use your own gear rather than rental gear! DIN assembly is constructed from marine grade corrosion resistant chromed brass and comes with a rubber protective cap. Higher pressure will allow you to extend your bottom time. Most HP cylinders are made from steel, so you can also remove some of the weight from your weight system due to the lower buoyancy characteristics of the HP cylinder. Note: will not fit SR1, SR2 or New Sherwood First Stage Regulators.
