Snorkel Buoy

The Snorkel Buoy is a bright color marker that you can slide over your snorkel tube to provide high visibility in the tropics or local waters. It is a great idea to have in heavy boat traffic areas for extreme visible, allowing boaters to keep clear and not create a life-threatening situation. Some tropical areas even require it if you spend anytime diving while snorkeling. The Snorkel Buoy is made from buoyant foam material in a traditional red & white diver down flag or for night and low light snorkeling conditions a glow-in-the-dark version. The Snorkel buoy is easy to pack for travel being compact and light weight.

Snorkel Buoy is a unique, specially designed foam float that just sits on your snorkel and does not interfere with your mask or other diving equipment. With a Snorkel Buoy on your snorkel, and with your mask attached with a snorkel-keeper (sold separately), instead of sinking to the ocean floor (where they might damage or kill coral and marine life), they will both float safely on the surface, visible and easily retrieved. Snorkel buoy is NOT a safety device, although the sight of a floating mask and snorkel could signal that that a snorkeler or diver is in difficulty and may need immediate assistance. Dive tested and approved to 100' (30 meters) by a Master Scuba Diver, the foam should not affect a diver's buoyancy.
