Shopper : Are these considered 3mm what is the temperature rating for scuba diving in these pants?darrick c : Hello, this would give you the same warmth as a 2mm neoprene material without the buoyance. So you would not need to add extra weight for these pants.BRANDON C : These are probably equivalent to 3mm, I used them and a 2/3 mm wetsuit in 60 degree water and was very comfortable, and I don’t tolerate cold water well. They are well worth the money.

If I recall you did have pay return postage though. Be aware of sizing though. I used the size chart I got the size indicated. Fit seemed pretty good until I used them in the water. They stretched tremendously I would suggest if using for diving get a smaller size then the chart says. I know have a pair of baggy pants when wet that cost $100

The fit seemed good enough—nice and snug. UNTIL in the water. . Then they stretch pretty significantly. Having used them I can’t return them and am out $100darrick c : Hello Micky, if you want a snug fit go with a size Small. If you want it a little loose go with the size Medium for that waist size.

Sharkskin long pants

Recently I purchased a pair of sharkskin long pants, Originally I thought I had ordered a pair of medium size pants but turned out to be large and although they did the job they were a bit bigger than I expected and once out of the water they seemed to be even larger. They are very nice and kept me warm even at 165 feet in the Atlantic Ocean. I think I may have to replace them tho do to the size and the way they fit. Over All they are a good product

Great Dive Pants! Better Than Expected!!

I have tries every manufacturer for dive pants and these are the first keepers. They are tough. They are high waited and the fit great. I am happy I bought them. The one thing I don't know yet is how buoyant they are.

Sharkskin Chill-Proof Pants are 100% Chill-Proof Material and are equally suitable teamed up with a top, under a dry suit, or by themselves for kayaking. They are cut with a high rear waist for comfort and warmth; provide protection from chaffing when dry and peace of mind knowing that if you do get wet you will still be warm. Chill-Proof Pants can be worn in combination with all other Sharkskin garments. Pants are equipped with stirrups to prevent ride-up when donning a wet or dry suit. They will also make donning of exposure suits easier with their smooth slick surface. Paints have a drawstring waist closure with adjustable barrel lock fastener.

Sharkskin Chill-Proof Material is an aquatic specific, windproof 3-layer composite material that has been developed for water sports athletes. The comfortable 'micro fleece' layer is next to the skin and 'wicks' moisture and sweat away from the body to help keep you dry. The second middle 'technical' layer is 100% windproof yet breathes to regulate body temperature while stopping wind chill. The third outer layer is a nylon/Spandex blend for abrasion resistance and 4-way stretch. It is also UV resistant for sun protection and has a durable water repellent finish (DWR) to provide a protective shell that 'sheds' water. Sharkskin Climate Control Chill-Proof is neutrally buoyant, anti-microbial, odor resistant, itch resistant and machine washable. Pants are black in color and available in multiple sizes.
