As an ACDE commercial diver, a tech diver with my rebreather certs, a master scuba with NAUI, and the fact I rack up 20 hours of bottom time per week with over 70,000 hours of bottom time to my name for work, I can attest this setup is nonsense for the price. Dive Rites transpack is 100 dollars less and the bladder is wrapped in what must be shielding for the international space station because it's better than kevlar. Not to mention every single part is easy to replace anywhere at any dive shop (since scubapro tends to be pretentious, expensive, and exclusive for what ever reason) and is a fully customizable mod with top notch add on's galore! There's a reason I've seen no one dive this...

I didn't purchase this from leisurepro, but have purchased numerous other items from them, and they are always topnotch.

Don't know what the issue is with “from California About Me Advanced" who gave this product & leisurepro a bad review (1 star). I am very happy with this product. Based on my research of donuts no other comes with an exterior of 1680 ballistic nylon or better. The specs on the interior bladder is also unsurpassed. Bottom line, it's tougher than Halcyon. Regarding the hardware it's very solid stainless & of a heavier gauge than any other's I've seen on any other system, & yes it's all there. The stainless steel back plate is of good quality, but it's not polished like the Halcyon, so admittedly doesn't look as nice but it functions just as well. The webbing is of superior quality. I've dove the system over 50 times & it has not disappointed. Ok there was one problem, & I almost gave it a 4 instead of a 5, but that would be overly critical. The donut's corrugated hose is too long. So I contacted Scubapro & they said they did not have another length hose. Well I think that's pretty lame, but really proved to be no issue, the generic corrugated hoses from Dive Gear Express work fine. Regarding the stow pocket, that reviewer is correct, it is not included. Usually Leisurepro has a section titled "what's in the box", which is missing in the description of this product. So I called before I purchased & thus was not disappointed when it arrived without it. That being said, if he/she had called LeisurePro & complained that it arrived without the "stow pocket" as pictured I'm sure LeisurePro would have sent her one at no charge & then corrected the webpage. I'm surprised LeisurePro has not yet corrected the webpage. Regarding Leisurepro, they rock providing great pre-sale support (but like any store some sale reps are better than others), post sales support and very competitive pricing. Yes Lesisurepro gets 5 stars also.

What's not to like? It's exactly what's it suppose to be. I compared every donut, harness and backplate out there that I possibly could. The donut is as good as it gets. The outer shell and inner bladder are as good as anyone else's. The only complaint I have is that neither Leisurepro nor Scubapro could provide me with the specs on the SS backplate and harness. So I had to go in person and inspect the backplate and harness myself, and while I was at it the donut as well, prior to my purchase. I was and am impressed with the quality and workmanship of this product(s).

I bought the X-Tek Pure to compliment the X-Tek Form I also own. I wanted a pure Hogarthian style harness, back plate and singles wing so I didn't look like a "tank in a taco" when I dive. I've used this BC in all types of diving including salvage diving because I find it doesn't snag on anything. I own all Scubapro equipment and am proud of this. I dive and work with shops who told me I would have to get another brand of equipment if I wanted to work there and I will not leave what I know is the best... "Deep down, you want the best!" I am about to buy another X-Tek Pure because I want dedicated salvage equipment and I know what the best is. I buy all my equipment from Leisure Pro because they take good care of me, just like Scubapro. Thank you Leisure Pro and Scubapro.
