I am 5.6 tall 170 weight I have the 40 with stainless steel plate because I dive on cold water on California so I have to use a lot of lead but if you plan to use it in warm water use the 30. But is very good equipment you won't go wrong with it a lot better than the regular bcd. Hop this help you on your decision dive safe and GOD blessALAN K : I am 5'11" and 160 pounds. I believe that I have the medium which fits fine. If I could change anything, it would be to get a little more buoyancy. I have a pony tank and can only typically add 5 pounds of weight. Conversely, I can't dump enough weight if I needed to. Go for bigger bladder.HARVEY H : Max 30lb wing. Unless you are running deep with two or three stage tanks attached the 30 is plenty for eeceeational diving. I had a 40 and it was tacoed all the time so i changed to a 30. It works great. Serious gear

Scubapro donut wing

After a using Scubapro X tek donut wings on about 20 dives the spring I will ay that these wings have proved to be very efficient at evenly distributing and effortlessly releasing air. My wife was struggling with air getting trapped in the corners and folds of her old BCD making buoyancy erratic. Since changing to the Scubapro backplate and donut wing she has had a breaktrough to easy and controllable neutral buoyancy. She uses a 30 lb and I have the same Scubapro Xtek 40 lb donut wing. The wings are streamlined, well made and have a tough cover protecting the bladders. Typical rugged and simple Scubapro products. Highly recommended.

Scubapro wing - compact and high quality

This wing is made as well or better than any I compared it too. It is a tight donut shape with relatively equal air cell diameter all around. The cover is tough Cordura nylon. Worth the price and the assurance of another quality Scubapro product warraty.

Scubapro's X-Tek Donut Wing Provides unprecedented buoyancy control regardless of your diving position. Wing is manufactured using a strong and durable 1680-denier ballistic nylon outer shell guaranteeing a high-quality external bladder with maximum abrasion resistance. The inner bladder is made of durable 420-denier nylon for superior puncture resistance compared to just a polyurethane bladder found on other buoyancy devices.

Outer shell has a zippered closure for easy access to the internal bladder, 5 durable grommets and 4 reinforced cylinder band slots for attachment to harness, back-plate and cylinders. Donut wing comes equipped with a large lower left front overpressure relief valve with manual pull dump cord and Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator Mechanism for perfect buoyancy control. Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator provides a high inflation speed, especially at depth. Inflator has different shaped inflation and purge buttons for easy use even in extremely low light or murky water conditions. Inflator is also equipped with a rapid pull dump mechanism with cable pull for easy deflation of the air bladder. The X-Tek Donut Wing comes with a 3/8" threaded low-pressure hose with quick-connect fitting and an owner's manual. Wing is available with lift capacities of 30 and 40 lbs. (13 and 18 kg).
