The Hydros X is a front adjustable BCD that offers a fully injection molded Monprene® thermoplastic shoulders and back pad. This unique feature allows the shoulders to conform to your body like a tailored fit. Its flat-buckled quick-release integrated weight system and rear trim weight pockets work together to offer a more comfortable and balanced ride when diving. Add the full-sized backpack and stainless steel Super Cinch tank band and you also get excellent stability both on the surface and at depth. The bladder, made out of EndurTex high-tenacity nylon fabric, is extremely lightweight and durable while offering generous lift capacity, aided by lower back bellows. In the event of damage, several components on the Hydros X are detachable and easily replaceable. The two big zippered cargo pockets offer great gear-carrying capacity and are easily accessible even when the weight pouches are fully loaded. Two stainless steel D-rings provide clip-on points for additional gear. In addition, the Hydros X features a Multi-Mount Accessory Matrix with multiple D-Ring and mounting points that easily attach various dive accessories.

Monprene thermoplastic harness is extremely resistant to UV, chemicals and abrasion, plus it doesn't absorb water to minimize drying time. Rotating squeeze-style quick-release shoulder buckles allow you to route your shoulder straps to optimize fit. Super Cinch tank buckle system locks the tank in solid for maximum stability at depth. Integrated front weight system is based on the same Monprene pockets found on the Hydros Pro. Weight integrated with a releasable weight capacity of 24 lbs. (11 kg) and 8 lbs. (3.6 kg) non-releasable capacity. The BCD's buoyant lift ranges is from 29.2 lbs. to 38.2 lbs. (13.25 kg to 17.3 kg) depending on the BC size.

BCD comes equipped with Scubapro's AIR2 Breathable Inflator. When you took dive lessons you learned to perform specific skills to make you safe and comfortable underwater and at the surface. One of those skills was buoyancy control. Once you start diving for fun you use your buoyancy control devise constantly throughout the dive. Your octopus or alternate air source devise on the other hand is never used unless there is an emergency out-of-air situation. Reacting properly in an out of air situation can make the difference between an eventful dive and a tragedy. If your alternate air source and your BCD inflator devise are one and the same, you will always know where to find it in an emergency. AIR2 is more than a simple inflator. Its components design takes advantage from the best regulator technology to guarantee maximum efficiency and reliability. As an inflator AIR2 provides perfect pressure control for a great buoyancy management. Ergonomic shape makes it easy-to-handle in any circumstances and it can be emptied by simply pressing the exhaust button.

AIR2's air balanced power inflator provides smooth and reliable inflation at all tank pressures. Single hose configuration eliminates the need for a separate alternate air source. Fixed VIVA flow vane for safe and uncomplicated use one-hand operation for instinctive and simple operation the self-flushing mechanism requires just one push on the purge to clear away all dirt. The AIR2 uses a classic downstream valve for less maintenance and reliability. The housing is a precision molded carbon fiber and techno-polymer impact resistant design that weighs 6.7 oz. (190 g). The AIR2 comes with a 3/8" threaded 27.56" (70cm) high-flow low-pressure hose an owner's manual.
