Jeff H : I'm looking at these for shore diving in Bonaire.  Are they thick enough for walking out on shore dives?  I'm also wondering if they fit in Scuba Pro Jet Fins.  The boot pocket isn't very deep.darrick c : Hello Jeff, yes, these would work for the fins and warm water shore diving.MICHAEL C : We just went to Bonaire. My wife used her 3 mm Scubapro boots for a couple of shore dives in Bonaire and did fine but felt a lot of the rocks underfoot. I did not use mine. Instead I had bare 5 mm boots which worked great. The footprint is much wider though. I did not have a problem fitting those into my fins but my wife did so she went back to the 3 mm scubapro. I think there are some entries that the 3 mm might have trouble with.

MICHAEL H : I've never dived with a low cut boot like these; only regular booties. How are they in protecting the juncture at the top of your feet against fin rub during multiple dives?ROBERT M : Won't be a problem. The booties are cut high enough to protect the foot pocket from rubbing against bare skin.RAY S : Hi: No problem. The straps on my fins stay on the back of the boot. rayJOY H : I have worn these boots for 10 years with different fin styles. I have never had any problems with rubbing on the foot at any location.DIANA W : These are only meant to use with HEEL strap type fins. They come up high enough where the heel stop is to prevent rubbing on the back.IF you mean rubbing your INSTEP these are nice as thy don't have any seams on top. Some folks also war a thin neon sock inside any bootie to prevent chafing. If you use a "slipper" or shoe fin you need fin SOCKS either thin nylon ones or thin neoprene ones too stop rubbing. Also if you currently have "shoe" or "slipper fins how tight they fit you barefoot and of course temperature of water will determine what thickness and type of material in any sock. For instance I have both 9-10 and 11-12 shoe type fins and wear thinner 2mm or so socks in the 9-10 size. But have 5mm neoprene socks for cooler water with the larger size pair of fins. So just checking to see if this will work or not for her and what size recommendation you think? and wears an open heel fin.JOHN T : I purchased a men's 10 and fits well for size 10 ft. In my opinion a person would be comfortable on either side as I they stretch and grip well to the foot.JANE M : My boot fit me according to the size chart.WILLIAM S : Will probably be large there is a 2 size difference between mens and womans sizing. Mens 6=Ladies 8MATHEW B : I am male. I found this to run slightly large. If using for open heel fin slightly large will create a bit of trouble in my opinion. I would consider looking at the smaller size. Be ready to return the first pair if size is not exactly what you hoped for.DIANA W : I'd go with a 5 if it's available. I have a wide short foot, 8 4E and I found the 8 was perfect for me. Even if the 5 was just a bit loose you can fill it in with those nylon socks some folks wear to slide their wetsuit / divest legs on easier. Good quality dive boots

I’ve used these dive boots for a weeklong liveaboard in Hawaii and so far they are holding up very well. They are quite comfortable and work well with my open heel fins.

Soft stretchy booties for delicate ankles

This is my second pair to own. I wear them because they are soft enough not to rub a hole through the skin of my ankles like thicker booties. They aren’t good for too much walking over rocky ground, but great in the water.

Great dive boots (especially for ScubaPro fins)

I got these as warm water dive boots as I recently switched from full foot split fins to open heel fins ('Scuba Pro Seawing Nova Open Heel Fins', to be specific). They worked perfectly! The 'notch' (for lack of a better word) on the back of the boot really helps to hold the fin heel strap from slipping off. Note: I usually get good advice from the online chat people here at LeisurePro, but I did get one recommendation for another product that was faulty. While looking for boots for warm water diving with open heel fins, the person recommended the 'Aqua Lung Ergo Neoprene 3mm Low Top Socks with Grip', which I also bought. Thankfully I also bought these ScubaPro boots as they saved my dive. The Aqua Lung socks would not hold the open heel fins on... they did not have a 'notch' on the back of the sock so the fins kept slipping off, and the socks themselves kept slipping off as well. Later someone else told me the socks are more for full foot fins, although that's just someone else's opinion... honestly I don't see them working well for that either. But these ScubaPro boots are awesome! I might get the taller set of matching boots (with zipper on the side) to go with my full wetsuit for cooler waters, but these are all I need for warmer waters (with my shorty).

Good boots

These boots are well made and light weight. Good soles for walking to and from dive boats. Work well with my spring loaded fin straps, as the sole edge hooks under the strap securely. They are a little looser than I expected, so if you're sort of in between sizes think about ordering the smaller size.

Scuba pro Delta short bootie

Great fit for my wide 8E feet. No seams on top so zero fin pocket rubbing. Maybe could be a bit higher but overall sole is great traction and even a bit supportive when walking short distances. Great value and quality looks like it'll hold up for many trips.
