First, I have previously purchased a large (~100 lb) bag. It works great, always has, and I've used it many times hoisting anchors, crab pots, and even carying many burlap bags full of underwater trash (during a beach cleanup project). I wanted another bag, but the small one, as I'd like it to be my surface marker at the end of my dives. The small (~25 lb) bag is about as long as the large bag, but much narrower. The bag is contructed well and is hearty, *except* for the oral inflator. Like another commentor said, it's simply glued on the exterior of the bag. My bag arrived with the oral inflator _already halfway detached_. As I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it, I employed some aquaseal after scuffing the surface of the bag and the bottom of the inflator. One day later and it's better than new. In fact, it's attached so well, I'd suggest this to the manufacturer. I've deployed it on a half dozen dives so far and it's not worse for wear. My big beef with the small bag is that it doesn't have an over-pressure valve. This means that it is NO GOOD as a lift bag. You need to have the ability to release air as you ascend, lest you have a run-away ascent. There's no way to do this with the small bag. Thankfully, I didn't want to use this as a lift bag but as a surface marker, so it works great for my use. -just not as a lift bag, which is what it is supposed to be. Don't get the small bag thinking you'll be able to use it as a lift bag, unless the item you're lifting is the same weight as the maximum buoyancy of the bag (~25 lbs), otherwise, you'll be in for a surprise as you ascend.

I bought two of the 100# Quad Bags to use in Search & Recovery Classes I teach. These bags are doing the job now (after modification/repair mentioned below), but they have a fairly major weak point. The oral inflators on these bags are both a hindrance to storage and deployment, and they leak. The oral inflator part is simply glued on to the outside of the bag, no stitching or bonding of any sort. Both of mine leaked at the install point the first time used. I ended up removing the oral inflators and patching the holes with a vinyl patch kit. They are completely unnecessary anyhow as the 100# bags have a dump valve... and who's going to fill a 100# bag manually? They are better bags now, but I'll buy the professional bags if I ever need another.

Excellent lift bag. Little bulky when rolled up, but this is because it is so well made.

I've had the 100 pound lift version of this bag for over 5 years and it's still going strong. I primarily use it to teach Search and Recovery, but have had other occations where it's come in handy to retrieve lost items. My only complaints are pretty minor: First, the dump valve started to separate from the bag, but some heavy-duty silicon sealant and innovative sewing with a very thin nylon line has kept it going. Second, the flimsy storage strap that comes with it (plastic with velcro) seems to be a couple inches too short, so I fit it with my own bungee cord to hold it together underwater. However, for the price, this a phenomenal lift bag.

Great all purpose bag that is nice and compact. Very easy to use and store. The Graphics do tend to wear quickly, especially where it folds, but this does not effect it's function.

This is a nice general purpose lift bag. While it can be used as a dry bag, the opening is a bit small for that, although it can be done. For the price, this is a nice all-around product. Seems to be constructed pretty solid so I would recommend this item.

used it from 130 ft when the mooring line broke on the wreck, boat did not know but spotted the bag and realized what had happened. Gave me the chance for a safe accent and not to get swept off the wreck.

A great lift bag with decent capacity. Doubles as a nice float with the words "diver below" and a dive flag on it.

The fact that this bag can be used in several different ways should put it at the top of your list of MUST HAVE items when you're diving. The vinyl coated nylon is tough and endures alot more strain than other manufacturer's lift bags. This adds some weight but its neglible. The waterproof closure works extremely well. My only gripe is that the only way this bag works as a lift bag or SMB is if you actually use the closure. Forget to click the buckle and you'll have salvage dropping on your head because this bag dumps air very easily at the surface. It would also be nice if an ID tag would be included that you could write data on to inform people at the surface.
