overall good speargun. I have one in 75cm size. Been spearfishing with it quite a bit over the last summer. Equipped with two 16mm ( not sure, didn't measure) bands, it has plenty of power. Bands seem to be short for an aggressive stretch. Barrel is strong, there is no noticeable barrel warp. Trigger is fine, no obvious faults there, not super heavy neither a "hair trigger". Shaft is solid, this is probably heat-treatable stainless nicely tempered, it stands to bending and tip stays sharp even after a few hits to softer rocks. Balance and handling in the water is ok. Buoyancy is fairly neutral when loaded and slightly positive without the shaft, just like any good speargun should be. On a not-so-good side: bands terminations are square. I also do not like rope wishbones. Bands crowd at the top and obscure the line of sight. I had to install metal wishbones and grind bands for a nice tapered termination, and accidentally this made bands even shorter and they were already at their max stretch. Also had to change the shape of loading pad which was too high and in the way for aiming. Aside from these minor tweaks, very pleasant gun, though I would prefer Omer Cayman ET, but it is out of production so Pathos will have to do.

This model is outfitted with a stabilizer that improves movement and floatation. It is set up with twin 16mm (0.63") rubbers and new elevated muzzle, which lifts the rubbers parallel on the top of the barrel creating a smooth compact profile. The Sniper also has a new D' Angelo 3 Handle with universal grip. Gun comes rigged with a 7mm (0.28") stainless shaft. The Sandvik shaft comes with 3 shark fins, a single flopper, and a tri-cut point. The Pathos Sandvik shafts are heat treaded to reach 52 Rockwell's. The stainless used has excellent mechanical properties. The Shark-fin shaft can be used on spearguns with open muzzle.
