Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?MIKE W : I wanted head lampMichael C : The ROAM fills the need for nighttime Spiny Lobster and California Halibut free-dive hunting, in eliminating a back-up light I have to dig out of a bag or off my belt. Princeton Tec Tec Roam L.E.D. Headlamp Review - Scuba Gear Reviews

A very bright light. Replaced my old one that was adout 20 years old and stopped working.

The original dive headlamp is back, brighter than ever! Decades ago, PTec introduced a dive-able headlamp. Next, they shifted focus to brighter handheld lights. Eventually the chatter joined into one request too loud to ignore: "Bring back the Scuba headlamp!" Princeton Tec began with their dive-proven platform, adding a 100 lumen LED module and custom optic that delivers the focused beam that divers need. Roam can be used as a standard headlamp, and Princeton's custom adapter allows mounting on many masks or any GoPro-style mount.

Roam promises reliable, hands-free light, now brighter and more efficient than ever. The Roam 100 lumens headlamp use 1 Maxbright LED that provides a narrow piercing light beam that has a visible light distance of 242.8' (74 meters) on land. The light is powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries (included) with a burn time of 18 hours. The light has a depth rating of 110' (33 meters) and an IPX rating of IPX8. The light comes equipped an adjustable head strap system. The light weighs 5.8 oz. (164 g) with batteries.
