JASON R : what's the difference between the xstream deep mk3, duration g5/8", and the black?Mario C : The Deep Mk3 in the classic Poseidon black and yellow. Suitable for air, nitrox 50% and trimix. Certified down to 200 m / 656 ft. The Duration is the Xstream regulator suitable for use with pure oxygen. Easily recognizable by its green color. The Black edition keeps it clean and professional. XStream is the preferred regulator by the US Navy, US Coastguard and NYPD. ( o2 clean and trimix ready)

The all black model with the black first stage is called the Xstream Black. Poseidon part num,ber 0100-010. They are functionally identical according to Poseidon.PETE D : if you look at the pic, its chrome plated 1st stage. check with them if it matters to you on the 1st stage. I bought 2 and on 1 of them, the chrome scratched a lot from use...banging on the boat, scratched in cement rinse tub in Bonaire.STEVE S : No, the one that is all Black is the new titanium set up.

Shopper : Certified to 200 meters? What exactly does that mean? Can this regulator actually go deeper than 200 meters,say 300 meters?DENNIS Z : You can't go to 300 meters you would die. this is a great reg for ice diving and deep. I have had mine to 145 feet and there is no drop in pressure. It's not super comfortable but I wouldn't use anything else. most tech divers go to 300 feet or so. not 600 feet.PETE D : I doubt anyone would come back from 200 meters using anything regardless if the reg will perform at that depth. A reg is life support gear. We all have different results and different physiological conditions. Mine delivers air as required. When kicking hard or for extended times, the reg provides me with ample air. I have not had that "out of breath" feeling when exerting myself using this reg. Your results may vary. Check on where you can get it serviced in your area.STEVE S : The Poseidon Poseidon XSTREAM Deep MK3 DIN Regulator, can go comfortably to 300m. It performs beautifully!

Poseidon strong

I have several Poseidon Reg sets and have never had an issue with anyone of them. Normal service is all you need to have complete confidence underwater. My primary and pony reg setup are poseidon trustworthy. I’ve used in cold water under the ice with no issues at all. You may feel it’s more money to start, however it has always been well worth it.

Looking for a high-performance regulator that can handle any diving gas? The Xstream Deep MK3 is the regulator for you. Certified for use with Air, Tri-Mix, 100% Oxygen, Nitrox, and even 95% Helium mixes, this regulator delivers outstanding performance at depths of up to 656 feet.

With a high-flow design, the second stage provides 76 SCFM of gas flow and features an upstream servo-valve design with a safety valve opening pressure of 261 +/- 14 psi. The regulator also boasts automatic Venturi assist and inhalation control, as well as a durable PVC housing with metal mechanism and rubber parts.

The first stage features a balanced rolling diaphragm ball valve design that ensures extreme leak tightness, even with as low as 232 psi cylinder pressure. It requires fewer O-rings than other regulators and is optimized for a redundant system using two regulators. The first stage also includes built-in Poseidon T.D.A. for thermodynamic protection and is made from chrome-plated brass.
