Questions & Answers

CHRISTI C : I see this weight belts is 58" of webbing. You have conflicting information in your add I am looking for the 71" that you can cut to length. Is this weight belt available? You like the independent use of a weight belt over weight integrated BCD's, it allows you to use weight when snorkeling-or-diving, with more versatility. If you already have a belt and prefer having pre-strung belts for various dive situations or like having a spare this traditional Pinnacle basic weight belt made of Standard 2" (5 cm) wide heavy-duty nylon webbing is what you need. Belt comes with the same latch-style" stainless steel belt buckle found on the Pinnacle Comfo Belt. The webbing is available in solid black, in neon yellow and in royal blue. The belt is 71" (180.3 cm) in length allowing you to cut-to-custom length. Weight belt comes pre-assembled and packaged in a mesh carry bag. Belt can be used with hard block or soft pouch lead.Justin P : I wish they had the 71" belt. I ordered this belt, and with the weights on it, it's a bit snug to have on for dives- more difficult to tighten and loosen than if it was a bit longer. Would be nice to have one longer that could be cut to size.KEVIN F : We do not have the 71" belt.
Shopper : If I wanted to attach two 20lb weights and two 2lb weights, would I still have enought belt left to fit it around my waist if my waist is 34in?JEREMIAH C : What type of 20lb weights are you talking about?DAVEY H : Yes there should still have plenty of room GABRIEL E : Definitely. I have a 36in waist and still ended up trimming it. Great belt.PAULA B : You should have no problem...I only have two weights on mine, but there is excessive room. I had to cut some fabric off my belt as it was way too long. Good luck and happy diving!!!NICHOLAS D : Yes, I use the belt with a similar setup, so it should be fine.CHRISTOPHER F : I don't have any 20lb lead weights so I don't know the dimensions, but I have a 36in waist and with two standard 2lb lead weights on the Pinnacle belt there is about 12 inches of belt remaining past the buckle when I'm wearing a 3mm wetsuit. I hope this helps.THEODORE M : Yes! I had to cut the belt as it was (and still is) too long. Great belt, good looking and at a reasonable price. RodrigoSTEVEN P : Before you cut your belt, PUT ON ALL YOUR WEIGHT AND SUIT! I bought this belt because its awesome but I cut it too short like an idiot. Now my girlfriend wheres it.TOM Z : yesCHRIS P : I just sent this but one more try, I bought this for a fat friend much bigger then 34in and it was no issue I think you will be fine. Nice weight bent IMO been diving for 30 year lots and lots of under water time.CHRIS P : I bought this for a fat friend much bigger then 34in I would think no issue quite big and well made very nice weight belt IMOMICHAEL M : I have a 38" waist and I put 4 - 4lb weights on the belt. I formed the weights using a casting mold I bought here on LP. I added clips to each of the weights that I got from my LDS. My guess is you may have enough room IF the 20 lb weights only thread a couple of inches of belt length. If they use the entire length of the weight you will likely loose more than 4 " of belt total. Mine has just enough length to clasp safely. That said, I need to loose about 6" of my waist line and you don't. For me if I ever need to add more weight, I would add it to my bc, use ankle weights, a tank weight or velcro weight holders that don't use up much belt space. Good luck.RAYMOND S : I would say yes, mignot it leave you much room to space them out. Also, i do not like the thick webbing. The buckle is very nice though. I would be very careful putting that much weight on a belt, if it falls off your going flying to the surface.
Shopper : How long is the belt? Does it have a metal buckle?LeisurePro S : 57" belt of 2" wide webbing with a stainless steel buckle.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?HOLLIS H : Quick release.LAURIE K : Looks nice

very poor buckle

Do not buy this. The latch to the buckle is held on by very short tines that easily pop out from the cheaply made holes and the buckle becomes two pieces with the one piece not attached to anything. The first time it happened to me was as I was entering the water via rocky entry. Luckily I was able to find the piece that popped off and hammer it back into place to not ruin a dive day. The buckle is very cheaply made and very poorly designed. I would advise Leisure Pro to remove it from their catalog.

Best webbed belt on the market

I ordered 5 of these belts for student use, leisure pro only had one in stock so the remaining four were placed on back order. Fast forward a couple days and I receive a surprise package shipped directly from pinnacle. My back ordered items showed up a full week before my original order. Bottom line when I opened the box I was greeted by the most impressive high quality weight belts I've ever laid eyes on. 100% top quality!!! So impressive I'll be looking to pinnacle for future items because of the quality of this product.

Buckle rust & hard to thread

I have about 20 dives on this belt. The buckle is showing rust and the belting is hard to thread thru the buckle when donning gear.

A good weight belt

As a diver who uses a backplate set up, I prefer not to use integrated weights. This belt is a the standard basic weight belt, perfect for diving with my X-Tek system. It's long enough to trim it down, leaving customizeable to your waist size. The metal buck is sturdy and hasn't failed me yet. Overall, it's exactly what I need and I'm very happy with it.
