Questions & Answers

GREGORY S B : I have the merino wool lined V-Skin suit which is neutrally buoyant. Does anyone think that the merino lining in the 7mm makes it a bit more negatively buoyant than the average 7mm wetsuit? In other words, you don't require as much lead/weights? ThanksMARK L : I seem to need the same amount of lead as a regular 7mm suitbill r : I don’t notice any difference in this suit. I have a 7mm Henderson, Hollis, and this Pinnacle and wear the same belt with all.Gregg B : I have the Pinnacle 3mm and 7mm wetsuits. I love them. While it's true that the Merino wool is less buoyant I don't think it is significant enough of a factor to seriously impact the amount of lead you need. What, maybe a pound or two? Go with your normal amount of lead. If you can shed some weight after a few dives that's great. I use my LavaCore in warm waters now instead of my 3mm. It is truly neutral buoyantDANN B : That would be nice, but no it will still require as much weight as any 7mm suit. The wool part is neutral in water. It supplies insulation but does not add additional buoyancy to the suit.
Shopper : Is it used?Gregg B : What do you mean? No, I bought it new. And have a 3mm. Love them bothJOHN G : I'M not aware of anyone who resale wetsuits. Although this company allows you to be sure items fit or exchange the items. JohnSHAWN D : Brand new witty tags. Very nice performance with excellent flexibility for movement.bill r : This has been my primary suit. I have been in water temps down to 48. It has performed perfectly. It is very easy to don and doff. It is super flexible, and is very warm.ERIC M : No sir, new and well made. Very warm in water temps in the low 60s and upper 50s. I am on blood thinners so your experience may be different.
Jeff E : Can this suit withstand deep dives to 200ft or will the neoprene lose its thermal protection? I need a wetsuit I can dive to that depth in 60 degree water.Gregg B : I've only been to 135ft with the suit but experienced no degradation. I love my Pinnacle merino wool suits (3 and 7 mill) and believe they maintain their thermal properties better than any suit I've used in over 1000 dives. I will confess that in the temperature range you are contemplating and lower I combine a LavaCore under which keeps me very warm. The suit would probably be adequate without the LavaCore in the 60's. I typically dive on liveaboards and want to keep my core temperature up. I believe that the merino wool lining greatly enhances the thermal properties and would do so at greater depths than other wetsuits. I use my system instead of a semi-dry or dry suit unless I am diving below 55 degrees for extended periods.ERIC M : I dove this wetsuit Sunday to a depth of 115 ft at our local lake where the temp was 58 degrees. The only part I felt the cold was on my face. I had gloves and a hood which served to conserve most of my body heat. How this wetsuit would fare at 200 ft is an unknown to me as I rarely get below 115 to 120 feet.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?SHAD C : Name and priceGregg B : The Pinnacle Merino Wool suits are awesome and truly unique. I can combine either the 3 mill or the 7 mill with my LavaCore underneath for excellent warmth and flexibility - without the hassle of my drysuit or bulk of a semidry. Combine with the socks inside the booties along with a hooded vest and gloves and you have a colder water total solution!ERIC M : Being old and chunky I needed a wetsuit that fit my build and after consulting with the LeisurePro staff this was their recommendation. Guess what, they were right on target. Perfect fit and no need to wear a skin to get in the thing.

Sizing is primo

We like their sizing options! The material is very good and stretchy (for a 7mm); the liner makes donning/doffing less cumbersome. This seller has the best customer service of any of the online stores.

Top shelf suit

Perfect suit, inner ankle seals keep it toasty. . But one down fall for using this suit for part of my occupation is the smell it leaves on you, and closest thing to think of is marijuana, so when its lunch time with other departments with my company can be head turning. . But the suit is durable, abaft zipper is still holding on, port and starboard ankle zippers are still holding strong. Highly recommended

Staying warm with the sharks

Very good product, I am a very large (over weight) man and have trouble finding diving equipment in sizes that even come close to working for me. Being 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 310 pounds I figured I would have to get a custom wet suit to fit me. However this wet suit suit fits me very well, It almost fits like a custom suit, It goes on rather easily, fits nice, and keeps most of the water out. I was surprised that after snorkeling for about 4 hours straight, when my son and I were finished diving I got out of the water and I was surprised to find that I was quite dry on the inside. The only down sound that I have found is the smell the suit gives off. I was expecting the smell of the neoprene and figured it would be strong for some time however this has a different kind of smell to it as well, (chemical kind of smell, sometimes after sitting in the room for awhile it smells as though someone has been smoking dope, sometimes it smells kind of like when a skunk scents.) I have tried washing it with different soaps, wet suit odor eliminators, and even room deodorizers. Other than the smell it has been a great suit and I am very pleased with it.

Great but not perfect

I purchased this suit for diving in 68 degree f. Springs. It is the most water tight suit I have ever used. If not for the fact that i wasnt carrying enough weight i could have stayed dry but i had to pull out on my neck seal and let water in so i could submerge. The only down side is that the wrist, ankle, and neck openings are so tight they are hard to get on and off, even with zippers on the ankles. My suit fits well otherwise so I think it should'nt be that tight on my skinney arms and legs.

Great wetsuit

A really nicely made suit. Very warm in California waters. After trying several other suits, Pinnacle was the best fit for me. Sizing chart was accurate. The rear zipper goes up easily and does not get caught in the flap...a problem I had with a few other suits. Leisurepro was true to their word with true fit policy. Sent back a few suits until I got the correct fit. No hassles.

Good Jumpsuit. Recommended.

I've been using the previous model of this suit for nine years and have been pleased with the durability, comfortable fit, and insulative power the Merino lining provides in the frigid (50 F) waters of the Puget Sound. While I was disappointed that the new version features plastic rather than brass zipper pulls, the new smooth skin ankle and O-ring wrist seals work well, as does the roll neck collar closure/seal. We'll see if the double-glued, blind stitched construction (made in China) holds up as well as it did with my previous jumpsuit.

There is a reason it isn't the cheapest

After originally going with a discounted wetsuit and having immediate issues with the fit, I bit the bullet and ordered this one. Absolutely worth it! I have now used it several times in New England in water in the high 50s and stay very warm with a hood. It is extremely flexible and feels much thiner than it is due to the material. Very easy to get on and off for such a thick wetsuit.

Best suit I have ever worn

For me These are by far the best wet suit I have ever worn. I have also owned the same suit in a 5mm. A little about the use it gets, I'm a commercial diver with 16 year in the industry so my suits get a lot of water time and also get abused. If we are diving shallow 30' and above it's not uncommon to have 6-8 hour dives. With that being said the warmth and mobility of this suit is unmatched for my experience. I will recommend this suit to anybody. If you buy this suit and take care of it, it will last a very long time. Since I bought this suit one of my coworkers naught one too and raves about how comfortable it is.

Pinnacle Aquatics Tempo suit offers a quantum leap forward in combining incredible-flexibility and unsurpassed-insulation capability. Pinnacle's Elastiprene neoprene that is considerably more flexible and stretchy than any Pinnacle has offered before, making this suit the easiest to don and doff, best- fitting, and most comfortable to wear that Pinnacle has ever produced. No longer must divers choose between a comfortable, stretchy suit and a warm, durable suit! The revolutionary Pinnacle 3mm Tempo Wetsuit gives you both! This high stretch wetsuit provides warmth, comfort, and durability that divers the world over have come to expect from Pinnacle.

The Merino lined Tempo are more comfortable than other suits, Yet they are warmer than any other suit that you've ever worn because of the overwhelming amount of features that are packed into these products, including Pinnacle's patented Merino Lining System, which not only adds significant warmth without increasing bulk or buoyancy, but also promotes quick drying after a dive and helps to reduce odors. Pinnacles patented Merino Lining System, increases up to 35% insulating power. Merino dries quickly, helps the suit slide on, and is odor resistant. Next generation Elastiprene Titanium Lined Neoprene throughout the wetsuit is stretchier and more flexible than the original Elastiprene wetsuits.

The Tempo has a rear zipper entry that is equipped with a 10mm spine flap and smooth skin seal to provide spine protection and reduce internal water movement. Pinnacle Defense System (PDS) prevents zipper from biting into the spine pad. Main zipper is equipped with long pull tab leash and hook and loop tie down. 8" (20.2cm) ankle zipper seals make donning and doffing easier, yet seal water out. Smooth skin chimney ankle and O-ring wrist seals create effective barriers to water entry; trapping body heated water inside-the-suit, keeping the diver warm. Roll neck collar with newly redesigned neck closure and smooth skin seal provides a better water barrier and increased comfort.

The Tempo is built-to-last, has printed rubber shoulder pads that hold the divers BCD in place, also the padding of the shoulders, prevent suit wear. The Tempo with double-glued and blind stitched construction and stress disks applied at all internal seam intersections for added strength and durability. New brighter, livelier color patterns make the 7mm Tempo your best choice in a wetsuit. Suit is available in a wide-range of sizes.
