At the heart of the RS-790 lies a first stage regulator, fully plated with marine-grade chrome brass. This balanced diaphragm design is environmentally sealed, protecting the internal mechanisms from environmental contaminants such as salt, sand, and chlorine, all of which can cause corrosion and impair the performance of the regulator.

TUSA takes innovation to the next level with the addition of a dry ambient pressure chamber. This ingenious feature eliminates water contact with the diaphragm and spring, thus enhancing performance in cold water conditions below 50 Degree F (10 Degree C). The ribbed outer surface of this chamber functions as a radiator, enhancing heat transfer and further reducing the risk of regulator freeze-up when diving in cold waters.

The first stage regulator houses two high flow low-pressure ports and two standard LP ports, along with two high-pressure ports. The high-flow LP ports, located near the diaphragm, provide up to a 15% increase in air flow, optimizing your breathing experience under water.

The RS-790's second stage is a marvel of engineering, featuring a pneumatically balanced system. A small chamber at the end of the poppet assembly retains air, reducing inhalation resistance and ensuring smooth breathing in all diving conditions. The second stage, made of lightweight, compact composite, also includes a Venturi adjustment lever for optimal airflow control during your dive. The second stage comes with a silicone mouthpiece, designed with orthodontic considerations in mind for maximum comfort.
