Questions & Answers

JASON B : how is the spring strap? does it feel loose?PETER T : Jason, When I purchased my V-16's it did not come with a spring strap. After searching the Liesure Pro web sight added the spring straps later. The after market spring straps I purchased were sized to properly accommodate my foot. I would never want to go back to regular straps again ! The fit is great with 5 mil boots and with 7 mil as well. The ease of putting them on and taking them off even with gloves is worth the extra money spent. Once purchased the V-16 fins are a piece of equipment that you will not want to upgrade for a very long time if ever.WILLIAM S : Not at all, I find the spring strap more comfortable, never feeling to tight or loose.RUSSELL M : As a matter of fact, the spring straps do feel loose, and even worse the foot pockets seem too big! One of the springs was noticeably looser than the other when I bought these. It was actually almost an inch longer, so I ended up cutting out about an inch of spring and corkscrewing the two halves back together. That worked like a charm, although it was very hard to cut through the metal with only hand tools. As for the foot pockets, I wear size 9 thick, cold-water boots and I bought these fins in a size M-L. The foot pockets are oversized for me, and once or twice a fin came off at depth (before I cut down the spring). There is still wiggle room in both foot pockets, but not enough to make them slip off anymore. I do wish I had gone for the next size down, which I think would have been a nice, snug fit. Really, I wish I had tried on a pair in person before buying "shoes" on the internet. :) Lesson learned... Hope this info is of use!KANDI G : The spring strap is snug. Not too snug though. It's so easy to pull over your heal and they stay put. They are adjustable. I love them!BRIAN H : It really works great for me. Not loose, but not too tight; never felt like it might fall off or anything.
a b : Hi, Would like to check, my shoe size is US11. (Wear High Heel Booty) What size would fit me for V16 ? Require your Help !! Tq Very Much !!PETER T : I wear a US size 11 shoe and dive in New England in a 7 mm wet suit and 7 mm boots and have been very comfortable with my V-16's for the last 4 years in an X L size. I also have worn these fins when I have been diving in Aruba, Belize, Cozumel and Flordia with a 5 mm boot and have always been very comfortable in them. If they would fit better with my dry suit I'd wear them with that as we'll !
Mary L : The sizing chart link is to the v12 fin. What is the weight do the v16 vs the v12 size XS? Also how stiff is the spring strap? Is it easy to pull off and does it take a very hard tug to get on/off? Thank you.JULIO CESAR L : not sure about the size, but this fin is anwsome, easy to put on and off, not heavy, you just dont get tired. this is my main fin, use all the time, going to cozumel next week, they are great.
Shopper : what sizes does xl fit?MARK M : I believe xl;s are size 11, 12YAN G : 12-14. It does depend on style of boot, however. Some people with an 11 with a boot with a very thick sole might be an XL as well.Michael W : It really depends on the thickness of boots you are wearing. A thicker soled boot, such as the Neo Classic by Oceanpro or a drysuit overboot will take a larger foot pocket for a smaller foot. I'd recommend with a thick soled boot, like these, men's 10+ will fit an XL/XXL. With a thinner, more flexible, soled boot anything above a men's size 11 should fit the XL/XXL.LIAN C : I have the large size & I wear size 9 women shoes. Hope this helps!
Shopper : What is the length for the regular size fin? Not including the spring heel.JOE S : around 26"

Decent durability

Working towards 60 dives for my divemasters and on my 55th dive a fin cracked at the base of the V. Fin has ok thrust compared to a non-split fin that is expected. Great maneuvering ability, but hoped to get more dives out of them before the broke. The spring strap also had a tendency to dig into my heel and required adjustment while diving. Time to try something else

Great Fins

Bought these as an upgrade after a recent diving trip during which I experienced a ton of current and my old fins just didn't cut it. Used these V-16s on 10 dives recently and the difference in thrust is immediately noticeable. The spring straps were also much easier to use than the plastic straps most fins come with. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for some extra propulsion.

Great fins

These are great fins and I really like the spring straps. I wanted a fin with just a little more flexibility and these delivered. Great service from Leisure Pro.

Excellent Product; highly recommend

Bought these for a trip to Grand Cayman and used them for North and West Wall dives. Made 45 minutes on the deep dives (with air to spare) and well over an hour on the shallow 2nd tank. Most time i've gotten out of 80cf tanks and attribute that to the efficiency of the fins. They're not light to lug around, but are sweet in the water.

Nice

Very comfortable. Steel spring strap is amazingly comfortable and makes them easy on/off. I have not tried them in a current but they move me with ease in calm to gentle current conditions while wearing a dry suit.

Great fin

I have been using these fins for an estimated 12 dives now. From the first time put them on I knew that they were high quality fins. I was a little bit concerned switch to split fins as I have read that it is difficult to perform different kicking methods. These fins allow every method that I have tried.

Fantastic Fins

These are great fins for scuba. They move wonderfully through the water, and it feels like they practically do the kicking for me. Comparable to the Atomic brand split fins, these work great, don't make my feet extra buoyant, and feel great on my feet. Plus the spring straps make getting them on for a shore swim easy!

Wonderful Product

Awesome fins. Very comfortable and extremely effective in the water especially for diving. These are a great affordable alternative compared to the Atomic Acquatic Split Fins.

Great split fins

i feel that this product compares to the Aeris split fin model that they discontinued. It's equally lightweight and overall nice to wear and use. I highly recommend this product and leisurepro for selling it.

great fins

Foot pockets are a little heavy compared to my full foot fins and a little wide for my foot but worked great with a pair of hard soled booties. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe and purchased an XS in this fin. No leg cramps with these and they propel you thru the water with little effort. Easy on/off with spring straps. Love them!

Oceanic should check quality control

I had original ordered the black fins and for some reason was sent yellow I needed them for the next week on wen. so they charged me for the new ones they sent and sent them out next day air. They did say i would get the return lable in my email in about 20 min but i had to call them back a few days later to have them send it so i could send the yellow fins back.

Great Fins

I've used Tusa Imprex fins since I began diving more than 10 yrs ago (until I lost one in rough seas a month ago). I never thought of any reason to upgrade fins but now that I've used the V-16 for the 1st time today I'm glad my Imprex decided to go by by. The fit is great, power is superb (both on surface & down deep) & the spring heal strap make on/off a breeze. Will not let these ones go any time soon!!

Very comfortable and efficient!

The V16s are very comfortable but more importantly you feel like you've got a lot more power behind you than you do with other split fins. The design is more ridged making this a good mid point between splits and paddle fins.

Great fins

These are my first fins and they are great. Without any effort I zoom past people and have to slow down. The only thing I noticed, not sure if this happens with other fins, is the first few times I used these fins the outside bottom of the fin (where my foot is) was slippery on the ground (pool). It is no longer a problem as the bottom is now scuffed from being rubbed on hard/grainy services.

Great purchase

My wife and I manage to get about 30 dives in a year and we have always used a traditional fin. I was surprised at how effortless it was to use this split fin. When I first used them I mistakenly associated less effort with less propulsion which was definitely not the case. [...]

Less work more speed and comfort

I have been a Master Dive Instructor for over 15 years. I have used alot of different fins over the years and these are some of the best I have used. The first time I used them I wasn't sure I had fins on because of the ease of kicking. With the spring straps they are way easy to put on and take off. A pleasure to dive with.

wow

I am an advanced female diver whom couldnt wait to try out this fin. It was all and more than I had hoped for. Completely comfortable, much less leg stress w/o comprimising the power of thrust. I felt much more at ease and maneaverable with my camera and the fin straps are easy to manipulate while donning on and off. It certaintly made my last diving trip to Roatan much more pleasurable. I love this fin. They feel like a natural apendage while diving down under.

Unbelievable!

Effortless speed at half the air consumption. These fins have arrived & you should believe the hype. Excellent in twisting turning situations or flat out speed. I don't care if you're bugging or spearfishing, these will get you on the prey! (my dive-master said they weren't worth it,...now he's chasing me across long flat out stretches.) They cost a little more, but one use & you'll see where that money went.

Good fins.

Good fins!!! Fins are easy to get on and off plus very, very comfortable. As for the speed and efficiency...I'll have to get back with you on that one, I only used them a few times, in very calm water. Great for all divers.
