I purchased an Atom 3 for a month long dive trip last year. At first, the computer worked great, the link between the integrated transponder and the watch worked beautifully. I linked it with my computer and spend dozens of hours adding my pre-computer dives to the log. After logging well over 300 dives, I made the mistake of trusting the Atom 3 as my primary log. That is when the problems began. I have lost my entire log three times. The Oceanic support folks are worthless and no one has been able to retrieve my log. My recommendation is steer far clear of the Oceanic Atom 3.

I've been wearing and using an Atom 3.0 for at least two years and it works well EXCEPT for the connection between the computer and the transmitter on the first stage. I've tried multiple methods of connecting the transmitter to the 1st stage . . even using a HP hose draped over my shoulder but the connection is still poor. DON'T GET RID OF YOUR SPG!!!!!

It's quite complicated to operate and easy to flood if not taking extreme caution changing the batteries. Has lots of funcions and has a good value!

Great computer, didn't have any problems with it. The backlit display was a great feature, and it was also easy to read

Got computer in just in time before a planned dive trip. This is a great computer, reliable with functions you need. You MUST do the eDiving course (90 min) in order to understand this computer. The eDiving course in free, fun, informative and included, once completed you will have no problem understanding its features and will love the Atom 3.1 I need reading glasses to read, but can easy see the display of this computer. The sensor is a bit weak and I am not sure if all wrist computers are the same. If you keep your hand too far away from the tank sensor you get and audio alarm which stops right away by moving the computer closer to the sensor.

Communication between transmitter and computer was lost repeatedly. I spent approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the first few dives not knowing how much air I had. Oceanic replaced the transmitter, but the second was actually worse than the first. The interface could have been more user-friendly, the themometer estimated 10-20 degrees high, and the dive log software is buggy. Very poor product, especially at this price-point.
