Open Water Swimming
Purchased for open water lake swimming (48-55 degree water temp) due to pandemic pool closures. Worked well to expose minimal face area in cold water. Flexible, comfortable, warm, and fits under wetsuit collar with no leaking or rubbing issues. I uded the hood until the water temp started exceeding 55 degrees - it became a bit too warm. If I purchase again, I might go for the thinner size.

NeoSports XSPAN 5/3mm Vented Bib Hood, can allow your diving to be more enjoyable. Smart anatomical design pays big dividends in comfort with this multi-thickness hood. The thinner, oversized bib is made to tuck easily into wetsuits forming additional layering for a good seal and an overall anatomical shape that helps eliminate sags and air pockets.
The face seal can be trimmed to precisely match unique facial contours while an integrated vent allows bubbles to escape through the top of the hood preventing ballooning without promoting water exchange. All seams are glued and stitched for durability and to limit water exchange. The hood body is made from XSPAN nylon 2 neoprene 5mm material with the bib being 3mm. Hood is available in multiple sizes and is black in color.
