A great standard throw bag, it does fade and wear a bit faster than some top tier brands, but it costs a fraction as much. Highly recommend this for professional guides and weekend enthusiast.

Safety first! Practice throwing the rescue bag before getting on the river. Equipment is no good unless you can use it correctly & with confidence.

This throw bag is excellent. It seems to be of very high quality materials, design and construction. Luckily I've not had use it in a rescue situation, but have practiced with it in the backyard and it performs well. As you would expect from any rescue device.

Used NRS safety throw lines for years whitewater canoeing. They always did the job when we needed them! I use them now for my crew doing mosquito abatement work out in marshes, sloughs, ponds, and lakes. We have one in every Argo ( amphibious vehicles ). They'll be there if we need them! We like NRS equipment!

Hand entanglement, the large loops on bag and line permit a swimmer or rescuer to put their hand through the loop. New bags need to have the loops retied small enough to prevent a swimmers hand from going through.

A reasonable price for the features. It throws as expected and appears to be constructed to endure many years. I'll likely add the snag plate as I'll feel a bit silly if it is needed later. It would be great it that would be a optional/reduced-price buy bundled with the throw bag.

We took our new throw bag on a float trip to the Dean river in B.C. and it worked beautifully. Rope was easily loaded into bag and deployed evenly. Great product!

I carry 3 ropes when intructing, this one is packed in the stern of my boat, it is bulky, but it's 70' of 3/8" rope. It stuffs easily & does the job!!

I have been a white water rafting Guide In Maine and MA for 16 years and finally bought my own rafts this year. I have worked for 2 Outfitters this whole time and the NRS Standard Rescue bag has been with me for hundreds of river trips. I have bagged dozens of customers, awry kayakers, and even used them to release pinned and wrapped rafts from rocks in Class III and IV rapids. This bag is the truth.

This product will use it in a fire department rescue team for white water, in a small town in Ecuador.
Whitewater safety is a serious matter. The NRS Standard Rescue Throw Bag is an excellent tool for protecting you and your buddies in swift water emergency situations. The Rescue Throw Bag is made from rugged Cordura a tough-as-nails material and comes in two high visibility colors of red or orange. The bag has 2" (5cm) mesh panel for better drainage and reduced dry time. A barrel lock drawstring closure is incorporated in a flared nylon top for smoother throws, plus easy reloading and closure. An elastic loop and 'pocket' will hold a glow stick or "chemical light" for low light rescues. Internal foam flotation keeps the bag on the top of the water where you need it for rescue.
The NRS Standard Rescue Throw Bag has a 75' (23m) long and is 3/8" (9.5mm) in diameter polypropylene rope which is bright yellow for high visibility in the water. This easy to locate on the surface floating rope has a maximum load is 1,900 lbs (862kg).
