These are well-made shoes and I like that the insole does not pop out - it's integrated into the sole of the shoe. This makes for easy rinse and clean after a beach outing. They are a bit heavy though, and run small. I normally wear a size 9 shoe [mens] and had to go with a size 10 in this water shoe.

Love the fit and ease of use as I wear them everyday not only as a water shoe but also as a waterproof shoe when walking my dogs in the early morning dewy grass.

I use in surfski kayak. Bought them because needed smaller shoe for rudder control. very comfortable. no issues with rough terrain walking

I use these for Paddleboarding in the ocean and lakes in the Northeast. They keep my feet warm in mid 60 degree water and the feel of the board is good. The sole is just sturdy enough to walk on almost any surface.

My girlfriend and I are advanced SUP, we paddle in open ocean and bay waters and sometimes lakes. We have used them a lot in the past 3 years. They still look like new! All the seems are sealed lots of tread on the soles and the neoprene isn't fading. The strap works well, easy to put on when lose and keep the shoe on when cinched. The last thing you want to worry about when your downwinding and fall off in 2-foot seas is if your shoe is going to fall off. These shoes have never let us down. Highly recommended

I have racing kayaks and surf skis that you need to be able to work the rudder pedals with just your toes as they are small and on top of the foot plate. The foot plate is designed so you can maintain contact with the rest of your foot to keep power in your strokes while operating the rudder pedals with just your toes. This requires a flexible water shoe and the Kinetic is perfect for this. I have worn them in numerous distance races of 50-72 miles and probably over 5,000 training miles over the last five and a half years. I also use them during my kayaking classes as we practice a lot open water rescues plus self rescues and spend a lot of time out of the boat working alongside individual students so the lightweight Kinetic is welcome. I wear the Kicker Remix in my other boats without rudders as I'm usually in a situation where I'll need traction and a thicker sole to hike around sandbars and other obstacles. I normally wear a 10.5 and so ordered a 10 first and then went to an 11 as the 11 had the best fit.

I believe these shoes are unisex sizing. NRS needs to make a version just for women. These are a little wide on my narrow size 11 feet, but the length is good. I really need a pair of finesse shoes on a paddleboard, and I find that not having a good, tight fit does make these feel clunkier than they should. That said, they are lighter and better on the board than regular neoprene booties like Kickers. Still, it hampers my agility when shoes are too wide, causing them to pucker and flex too much when I move around on the board. I am trying really thick socks, but contact with the board is compromised when you wear thick socks. The soles are nice, and not too thick. I could not even feel the sharp oyster shells underfoot at the boat landing,

Was snug on the toes, after a couple of uses it fit better. The drawstring keeps them securely on your feet. They keep the top of your feet comfortable when your kneeling on your board, great grip.

I bought these for paddle boarding, not just to get me through the cooler water season, but to protect my feet. For some reason my feet kill me after an hour on my sup and these make all the difference in the world. They are well made and stay on. The toe box has lots of room so I forget that I'm wearing them. They don't compromise my stepping into a pivot turn either. In other words, perfect for what I needed.

I like the sturdy sole and full-foot coverage. I'm female and wear 7 1/2 to 8 normally. Size 7 was too small so returned for size 8, which fits OK but is a bit wide for my foot. The drawstring works for keeping the shoe on securely. I should be able to fit socks in the shoe if needed for cold weather. For warm weather light recreational kayaking I might stick with a lighter-weight/less coverage shoe.

Thought I would give these shoes a try but was disappointed. They have a lot of room in the toes. The big problem is that they hold water in the shoe. They are comfortable. When you take the shoes off they still have water in them. When using them for water aerobics you feel the water swishing around in the shoe.

I use these for kayaking. Great for walking to/from launches over rock and other rough surfaces w/o bruising feet. Comfortable both wet and dry. True to size. Keep feet warm when wet but not overly hot. Excellent quality/sturdy but highly flexible. Have had numerous "water shoes/sox" over 45 years of water sports and these are among my all time favorites. Well done NSR!! Would highly recommend them and reorder them if/when they wear out.

Utilize product for kayaking if FL canals against submerged coral, shells, rocks, etc. Very comfortable to wear, although somewhat difficult to put on and take off each time due to the protection that they offer.

Keeps feet warm in and out of the water. Keeps my feet safe from rocks and glass while walking on the beach and loading and un-loading the waverunner. Water does get into them. But in secs it warms up.

I ended up exchanging for one size larger than I usually wear. Exchange was fast although it required a phone call to get size right. NRS took care of me. The last NRS shoes I had, had Velcro straps across the instep which kept them secure in white water- remains to be seen how this new pair performs.

My last pair of NRS shoes lasted almost ten years. I didn't wear them every day; sometimes I went barefoot, sometimes with 5 ml booties and full gear for cold weather. But for in-between weather they keep your little "piggies" warm and guard against cutting your feet on shells or rocks. Obviously made to last; an essential item in my kit bag.
