Kuda 126

I was able to test the Kuda 126 at a vendor event and was very pleased with how it handled and all the features. I have one in order and am impatiently waiting for it to ship. Looking forward to getting it rigged and on the water!

A comfortable, convenient kayak for lakes

I love my Kuda. Originally I got it for fishing, but it's so comfortable that oftentimes I just take it out on the lake to cruise and look at wildlife (but of course, I still do a lot of fishing from it!). I bought an electric pump to make that part easier, although the manual one it comes with works great. But I like to get my electric pump hooked up to it and running while I work on other tasks to get ready to go on the water--saves loads of time getting it set up. It's a very sturdy, comfortable kayak for lakes. I live near several large lakes and use it exclusively on those. It's also very lightweight. I'm a big guy (6'3", 250lbs), and can carry it by myself pretty easily--both inflated and deflated. Deflating to get back into the car is a breeze. It takes me less time from getting out of the water to back in the trunk of my car than it does my friends with hard shell kayaks to get theirs securely back on their roofs!

Great kayak for fishing. Very stable and high quality!

I got the 12.6 Kuda primarily for fly fishing and chose it for its stability and the option to use it as a SUP with the seat removed. I have taken it out several times for 2hr + trips at nearby lakes and love it! I haven't yet tried it as a SUP but will do so eventually. Here are the positives: - very high-quality construction and durability - at 31lbs, I can keep it inflated in my garage and easily put it on my roof rack for transport - lots of space for fly line and stability to stand when fishing (although you have to watch the foot pegs - comfortable seat - Yakattack pads are great for customizing the kayak - great value for the price Some (minor) negatives - the included pump fills the kayak quickly, but be careful about the hose connector to the pump. The plastic nubs that hold it in place can break off easily. Had to get a replacement hose - the metal bars on the seat have holes with burrs that can scratch the surface of the kayak so I recommend filing them down before use. - documentation for setup could be better. I figured it out but a setup video or a better manual would be helpful. Few other things I learned: - To use the Yakattack pads, you need to buy Yakattack mightymount switches which act as small rails for add-ons like rod holders. The Yakattack Omega rod holder works well for fly and spin rods - The kayak is wide (38 in) so you need a pretty long paddle. I'm 6' and am using a 250cm paddle. You could even go bigger. Obverall I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it for fishing.
