Kai loves his new jacket! The straps under his belly are very soft and stay put while swimming. I love that it is fully adjustable. The zippered pocket was the perfect spot to put his contact info. I highly recommend this product. My dog is 65 lbs and the size large fits great. I would buy this jacket again!

This is the second NRS CFD I?ve owned. I?ve got a border collie/Aussie/healer thing. She used to be a small and that jacket worked great for 5 years. She got to close to a few campfires an melted some of the interior foam. But it still worked great as a handle. My pups gotten kinda thick as she?s aged. She?s defiantly a medium now. NRS was sold out of medium so I had to go with the large. She floats like a cork now. I had to do some minor modifications (sewing) to get the neck to fit snug. But the jackets are awesome. Durable, true to the sizing chart on the website, comfortable for the doggo, but the handles are the best part. You can carry your pup like a cute little suit case. Comes in handy for sure. A must for any true river mutt.

My 6-year old chocolate Labrador, weighing about 90 lbs, was wearing this jacket when he tipped off the raft in the middle of a class III rapid on the Rogue. He?s a strong swimmer but I could see him fighting the current unlike he has ever before. He was strong and made it to the shore but without this life jacket, not really sure if my best friend would have made it out of that rapid. If you plan on ever taking your dog buddies rafting, please really consider this story and what could have been had he not had this jacket on.

Our dog took to the vest like a boat to water and, by the end of day one, preferred to wear it versus not. It has just enough floatation and durability with what you would need and expect from a NRS PFD. If there was one area for improvement, it would be sizing because I could have used a size between what we ordered since it maxed out the smaller size but the next size up would have been too bulky. Overall a great product!

This canine pfd is our second one in a year, as we adopted a second Labrador Retriever. Operating a Rafting Outpost in WNC keeps us on/in/around water & we like the extra layer of protection for our four legged swimmers!

I am extremely impressed with this product, I have about a 90 pound wirehaired pointing griffon as my service dog. I love to kayak and paddle and fish from my kayak. He was jumping in and out of the boat and it was super easy to bring him back in the kayak with the carrying handle. I really like that his belly is not covered up with heat retaining material we paddle in places where it gets very hot. The straps are extra wide so it does not dig into him when lifting him back in the boat. Overall it performed flawlessly and allowed me the piece of mind to let him do his thing. Hes a great swimmer, but this just lets him swim to his hearts content. I highly reccomend this product and will be passing on the reccomendation to everyone I know with a dog. Its just so nice to be confident with him on the water with me. Thank you NRS for a top notch product as always.

Worked very good for our old lab who still wants to go rafting. Did not restrict swimming, but gave her extra buoyancy and a handle for us to help her in and out of the boat.

Love everything about this PFD. Did a lot of research for my Lab and this is my number one pick, not only for the quality but the price! Maddie wore this every day last Summer for hours on end. I placed this on her as she was in the lake with other people and was very playful- never wanting to come in. With this PFD on her, she was able to stay in for quite an extended time without over exerting herself. Although she's a fantastic swimmer, this PFD helped out tremendously. Plus, Maddie loved wearing it!

The NRS Canine Flotation Device makes my dog safe, visible, and easy to lift back into the boat. The handle is great for puppies and senior dogs a like. The zippered pocket is great spot to keep a ball. Dogs are great swimmers, but we all get tired on eddy lines and big water.

Dog got used to it quickly on first outing. Doesn't seem to mind it at all. Fits well when she swims. My dog is a 45lb Lab mix and the medium works fine.

Bought both the medium and large sizes. Our 50 lb. Australian shepherd fit the medium perfectly. Swam for hours retrieving sticks. Did not interfere with his swimming and was willing to go out in the water without a break (for 2 hours). He really loves water but this allowed him to play much longer without tiring. Our older Aussie who likes water but usually tires much faster really loved the improved buoyancy, retrieved for more than an hour and he usually quits after 15". Great exercise for his joints without the "weight" on them while exercising. He is 67 lbs. and has a longer coat. The jacket kept his long coat from "weighing him down". The large fit very well.

I use this vest for support for my dog after surgery for his knee. It works very good. Much better than the sling that was provided by the vet. It does not slide or move. Light weight, cool, comfortable. Very happy with it.

So far we have purchased this life jacket for 2 dogs. Both seem comfortable wearing it. It is great for white water rafting, having them swim behind me when I'm lake kayaking or paddle boarding.

We like to take our Mini Australian Shepherds kayaking with us. They are strong swimmers but I want the added protection of a life jacket for them. We e been very pleased with the two we've gotten from NRS.

My pooch has hip dysplasia. She does not use one of her hind legs when she gets in the water and she loves getting in the water. The vest allows her to swim with the other dogs. Put on the vest and she goes right in the lake or pool.

70 lb. Chessie and the size Large is a perfect fit with leeway in either direction. The boy does get antsy after awhile and will jump off the SOT kayak. With the handle, it is easy to get him back on board again when he decides he has had enough swimming. This is the second NRS cfd I've purchased because the first one for our other dog has done so well.

Our 9 month old boxer is not a great swimmer but we hated leaving her at home while we paddled local lakes. Thanks to this awesome pfd we no longer worry about her. Handle on the back of vest makes it very easy to pick her up out of the water when she decides she needs to jump in!

Bought one as a demo for our shop. Our family dog was also our guinea pig for recreational kayak and SUP use. Great fit, well made. We are now sharing NRS CFD with our customers. Love it.
