Fits in the cockpit of my Remix 59 and still leaves room for water bottle. Like the added length of rope, ease of toss,

It's very nice, but there is a lot of free space in the bag and it ends up not being much smaller that the old mad river bag with a bigger rope I'm replacing. On the plus side, I can fit a webbing loop for anchor and two carabiners inside the bag.

Good functional product with nearly as much line as a full sized throwbag.

Good Rope in a an easy to throw package. My only complaint is that the orange dye fades quickly in the sun, detracting from its high visibility.

Fairly compact throw bag, especially convenient and packable compared to the heavier ones with stouter lines. The line payed out well with each practice throw.

Used it right out of the box. Had for a few weeks before I needed it. When I did, I threw it unsure if it was packed correctly... nope. Rescue successful. Fortunately it was only class III though :-)

I've been guiding whitewater for 25 years, and had many throwbags. I prefer smaller bags I can throw overhand like a softball. I can easly deploy entire length of rope. The bag is sized large enough for a quick repack, and get you back in the current. The mesh top allows bag to drain quickly.

I received this bag the day before I went out on a trip and decided to swtich it out from my normal bag, It was a good thing that we had this bag because I winded up throwing out of the boat, this rope saved my life and I would definately suggest for every paddler to keep one in the boat, it was still quite short so I would suggest something longer but inless you are doing white water this should definately do the trick!

Great space savings without giving up a bag you can throw far and accurately. Not much length difference to the bigger bags and at a lower price. I need a couple more of these!

I believe in having basic rescue equipment available, just in case. The life you save maybe someone you know or love.

We purchased this item after reviews found online about NRS. Liked the colors to help see the line. We keep it with instructors at the creek when teaching environmental education. During the summer camps in the creek, we use it with kids for their education on how to grab it correctly and what to do; as well as good practice for instructors. Water education all-round for everybody!

The rope is a bit difficult to hang onto when in the water due to its small diameter. The bag is easy to hang onto though.

I have had this bag clipped onto my raft frame on two Grand Canyon/Colorado River trips this year. Fortunately, I didn't need to use it, but it still looks brand new. The bag has a good clip system for attaching to the boat and is quick and easy to deploy. The line and bag are made of the highest quality materials.

Fairly compact throw bag, especially convenient and packable compared to the heavier ones with stouter lines. The line payed out well with each practice throw.
Being safe while on the water is paramount when kayaking or when engaged in swift-water activates. The NRS Compact Rescue Throw Bag is an excellent choice for swift-water emergency work. Its compact shape and light weight are perfect for kayakers. Easy to carry and handle in a water environment the throw bag has bright orange, red or yellow lower panels for easy identification in an emergency and 2" (5cm) mesh drainage panels that promote rapid water drainage and reduce drying time. A barrel lock drawstring closure is incorporated in a flared nylon top for smoother throws, plus easy reloading and closure. The adjustable squeeze-style" side-release buckled strap makes for easy transport.
Inside the throw bag is 70' (21.34m) of 0.25" (6.35mm) polypropylene rope in high visibility yellow. The rope has 950 lbs. (431 kg) tensile strength and floats for good visibility on the water. Internal foam flotation keeps the bag on the water's surface where you need it for rescue.
