Couldn’t decide on this size or the next size up. I overpacked for a week long trip and still only used about 50% capacity. Carries on your back comfortably. If you’re on the fence, get off and buy the damn thing already. Buy it nice, or buy it twice.

Great bag. Simple closure mechanism - hooks and loops. Perfect size. Easily held all my gear for a 4 night section paddle along the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Portaged the Mud Pond Carry with this bag. Couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

I was psyched to have my first Bill's Bag after 25 years of using dry bags for raft guiding and canoe camping. When I took the dry bag out of it's packaging and opened it up the storm strip (light weight strip of material to help seal the bag) ripped. Not sure why they would put such a light weight material on an otherwise bomb proof dry bag??

Everything I need for a week of paddling, whether flatwater or whitewater, can fit perfectly into Bill's Bag and then some. Padded straps and easily adjustable buckles make this bag ideal for portages and transportation. This bag should be owned by any beginner or professional or anywhere in between paddler!

First use on the 2nd day of raft trip the grey lip ripped at seem. Other than that it's a good dry bag. Despite rip everything stays dry. Fair warning I'm rough on gear haha!

Great bag. Good Size. Just remember this is top loading so you have to dig to find stuff at the bottom.

Used this bag for a 2 week raft trip on the Colorado in the Grand Canyon. The first 2 days we were soaked and that's before we got to any major rapids. Rain, rain, rain with a pinch of hail. The bag held up very well! Not even a drop of moisture even through some giant waves that washed over our boat. My bag was the only NRS bag, the others had another brand and ended up using trash bags as liners due to some moisture problems. Seems very well constructed too. I never worried about cinching it down too hard or tossing it to shore each evening. For reference, I got the 65L and it was plenty large enough to carry all clothes, including warm ones, and extra shoes for a 2 week trip plus my sleeping bag.

This is the be all, end all to expedition dry bags. I've used this bag on the Grand Canyon, flying to Chile and China, and as dry storage in a kayak trailer. It's been dropped on the ground from the roof of my truck, loaded off and on to rafts, and endured airline abuse along the way... and it's still kicking! So long as you take the time to properly burp and roll the bag, it's bone dry. I like the option for the removable harness which keeps traveling with it clean and snag free, with easy option to pop it on and carry it when you're ready. I do wish there was a way to provide waist support in addition to the chest strap as I've had the adventure of carrying this bag for quite some distance, and the added support would be a bonus, but the chest strap definitely helps. All around, a high quality bag that I will continue to trust my gear to in the future.

I have used a lot of different shapes and sizes of the Bill's Bag over the years. The 65 is my favorite size for summer time, inflatable kayaking, or going light on the cat boat. I have had some failure with the plastic buckles in the past, mostly human error by smashing them in the frame or tail gate by accident. I was excited to use the new metal fastening system. They worked really well, except in the cold weather with cold hands. It is a little harder to fit the metal hook through the webbing. I see it as a trade off for a super secure system. The material is also super solid and dry.

I just used this bag for a 16 day trip down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon. It was a great size for my personal belongings, kept everything perfectly dry (though there was no full submersion!), and even came in handy when I needed to shlep all my personal gear about a mile at the very end of the trip. The backpack system is quite comfortable, as far as dry bags go, way better than any others I've tried. Great bag, can't wait to use it again!

I searched for a bag that would fit my new tent on river trips. Although an expensive tent bag this is perfect. With a 45 pound 6 man tent with 24 inch poles I consider this insurance against shoulder surgery as all the other bags in this size have handles for carrying one handed. I wish I could have gotten the super duty bills bag in the 65L but this bag is burly. It will probably last the rest of my years on the river. But if you do bring out a super duty in this size I will buy one and use this one for other stuff. Great bag.
