I purchased these wetshoes one size larger to fit over my waders while kayaking in somewhat cold weather. I?ve since used them multiple times and they are exactly what I was looking for. Easy slip on over my waders, nice comfortable feel while wearing and kayaking. Secure with side zipper and velcro strap. Good sole support for walking along the lakes shorelines in the water. 5 stars! Excellent Wetshoes!

These were great. I wore them for 24 straight days in the Canyon. They kept my feet warm and provided good traction, both in the boat and on side hikes. They were comfortable and easy to get on and off. I only wish they came in wide sizes. I had to buy shoes that were several sizes larger than my normal shoe size in order to get a fit. That resulted in them being longer than I normally wear, which sometimes made walking awkward.

I got these for my husband so we can go SUP on the Oregon Coast in estuaries and sloughs. We have not gone out yet, but will soon be ready. I picked these because they had more substantial sole to the footware in case we would be disembarking where footing would be more difficult. The strap securing the foot is a plus!

These are my third pair of the ATB Wetshoes. With their aggressive and thick sole they are a perfect shoe for sea kayaking along the rocky shores of the northeast. With the wide adjustable Velcro strap across the instep they are extraordinarily sturdy and provide a very secure fit. Paddling in the winter months I order a size larger to allow warm socks under my drysuit. Dollar for dollar a real bargain.

Kept my feet pretty warm on a December Grand Canyon rafting trip in 2020. Bought one size larger for socks under my dry suit neoprene booties. Great shoe for short hikes and scouting.

I enjoy a sea kayaking over 30 years around Tokyo,Chiba Japan coast area. This boots could be my last kayaking shoes due to perfect design and function to protect my leg. Sizing is also Perfect for my 7.5 US . Some other NRS shoes are little bit strange -one size small- but This ATB Wetshoes is Exactly right Size. I recommend this shoes for all water sport lover.

I use these for fly fishing - they are warm enough for spring/fall. Haven't tried them in the winter yet, but guess they would be a bit coolish. Previously I used the lace up neoprene boots that have better ankle support but are a bear to get on and off. Net/net these are the way to go if you are thinking about the lace up version.

These boots are amazing! Needed traction and protection for Swift Water Rescue Training and these delivered! I wear a women’s size 7 and ordered the men’s size 6, leaves enough room for a thick pair of wool socks.

Excellent water shoe. I wear mine with my dry suit, primarily in ocean conditions, both rocky and sand shoreline. Very comfortable and durable. Easy to slide in the dry sock. Zips up nice and the cinch strap provides a secure fit. I've been wearing my first pair for over four years now. Bought a second pair with the coupon discount to have in reserve.

Gave this as a gift, ordered a size larger in case they ran small and that worked well. The giftee remarked on the great sole and overall quality. Think I'll get myself a pair to use for wading and general river use.

I loved the NRS kayaking boot with laces (don't know the name of the model) but they are very hard to get on and off, so this time I went with these, that feature the zipper and really do love them. I kayak all year round once or twice a week, so it's important I can fit the drysuit footings with thick socks in the boot, and yes, I can. I am a woman who wears a shoe size 7.5, so for these boots, which are men's size, I purchased size 7 and that works just fine. Size 8 is too big.

Used these on 5 float trips fishing the New River in WV. They have been great when having to walking along the rocks. The only improvement I would recommend would be a better gripping surface on the soles of the shoe for wet environment. Other than that I'm real pleased with the product.

I bought these with the hope that they would give excellent traction on slippery rocks. NRS's regular paddle booties are slippery, and everyone else's water shoes have laces, which I think are unsafe in a kayak. So far (used twice) I don't think the traction is that much better. They seem to offer a lot of foot protection, which I guess could be useful if you had a major portage, but they take up a lot of room in the boat. There's a bit of a heel- why? The sizing is kinda unclear- are they men's sizes? I'm a woman who wears an 8 1/2 normally, I tried a few sizes, and ended up buying an eight, which is a little big (enough to fit a dry suit inside) on me. Seems narrow to me. I'll try and update later if my opinion changes.

Great for Rocky Shorelines
By BobIsAPerson
These are easy to put on and take off with the side zipper and were relatively comfortable even before breaking them in. I'm a size 10 men's shoe, and I went up to a size 11 for these, but that's generally within the realm of possibility for me with shoes. The hiking boot soles are great for the area I live and kayak in (lots of rocky coastlines and some steep, usually dirt, riverbanks) and give these the versatility of a hiking boot from a traction standpoint. I only have two potential pitfa...

The NRS ATB Wetshoe combines the rock-solid work boot sole with the simplicity and warmth of a zippered neoprene upper. The hiking boot lug sole gives superior traction, in the water and on land for all terrain traction, protection and support. You'll like the comfort and warmth of the 5mm titanium nylon-2 neoprene upper while the 7mm insole cushions your foot for quick side hikes or a grueling portage. It's a great shoe for daily river running. The ATB Wetshoe with its YKK ankle zipper makes it easy to get in and out of and a wide, secure instep strap with hook and loop fastener adds that extra bit of security.
This totally reinforced shoe comes with a toe and heel vulcanized rubber caps for added strength and durability in high wear areas. The heel cap is equipped with swim fin tab for retention of fin strap in rough water conditions. The zipper is also equipped with a slider retainer to prevent zipper from opening while Wetshoe is in use. All seams are glued and sewn for warmth and durability. Wetshoe is available in multiple sizes.
