Works well. A little long with the compass but a good value. I would purchase the 2 gauge model and a separate compass next time.

We bought 2 sets of these gauges and really like them. The two sets read consistent with each other. Smaller and lighter than our old gauges which were 30 years old believe it or not. These new gauge faces are smaller and less easy to read than our old gauges but good enough. My wife uses reader lenses inside her mask so she can read these gauges OK.

On sale it was a great buy... Does everything needed (duh, it works...lol) Relatively small, perfect as a back-up for my dive computer. Easy to read, recommended.... 5 stars is generous, but that is review inflation.

Love the compass and gauge to where I can see it all from the front angle. I don’t have to flip to navigate. (I do lake diving mostly.) the only thing I don’t like is it’s not US production. Which really wouldn’t make it any better. Just like supporting my country’s manufacturing.

When I initially took the guages out of the box I thought the dials where a little small but once in the water no problems. I dive in fresh water lakes and they tend to be darker and have very loose bottoms. The Mares Mission 3 gauges where very easy to read even in these conditions and being compact they tend to not get in the way. Also this is a great features when packing them in your gear bag. Great job Mares. I would recommend these guages any day of the week.

The console is very easy to read underwater, but sadly it broke after around 50 dives. And the warranty expired 20 days ago.

We recently updated our training and rental gear line to all Mares. As part of that upgrade we purchased regulators, computers and BCD's. After assembling the regulators and testing out a few, we were highly impressed with the slim Mares Mission 1 Compact Pressure Gauge. We teach our students with wrist computers that are not integrated. The Mission 1 SPG from Mares easily tucks away on their left side with a snap hook and is simple to read. Highly recommend this gauge even if you have air integrated computer and of course a second HP port on your 1st stage.

Working as expected so far, after 5 dives. I like the integrated compass, the slanted position facilitates taking bearings

This is a nice lightweight double gauge that is great for travel. I use this on my travel regulator as a back-up to my Mares ICON HD computer.

This is the worst piece of gear I've ever bought, and it sounds like Dan B. and I had the same issue.Every single component broke within 20 dives. The air pressure gauge started reading wrong by about 50 bar in the middle of a deep dive. This led to an out of air emergency (thankfully, I had a buddy). The plastic is low quality, and the compass cracked. Not only is this a low quality piece of equipment that lasted only 20 dives, but it literally put my life in danger! I did not buy it from LeisurePro, but I am making sure that the word gets out about this, especially since Mares told me to get lost since it was out of warranty by a week or two.

Streamline and small. Very readable. As a commercial diver its very important that my gauges don't hang up on stuff I'm working on or around. This product fits the bill! I would highly recommend this product. Allan/ Arnold Dive Company

On the 3rd dive bubbles started coming out of the pressure gauge. After getting back to the boat I checked the gauge and the bezel was loose... the bezel and o-ring fell out in my hands. What a piece of crap. And Mares used to be great quality equipment. I called Leisure Pro customer service and was told, "don't worry, you can return it for a refund... unless it has been used." How in how in hell can you tell if an item is defective UNLESS you use it first? So the option is send it in for warranty repair (I don't want a piece of crap like that back again) after only 3 dives, and take who knows how long to get it back (we're in the middle of the summer dive season right now). This gauge was not damaged from use... IT IS DEFECTIVE!

Bought it as a backup for a wireless air integrated computer for the last trip and sure enough the computer failed within thw first couple of dives. Used the gauge for the other 30 dives insted of the wireless transmitter and could not be more happy. Small in size, easy to read, glows in the dark, etc. Could benefit from a real screen protector as the plasic film is starting to come off.

Bought this as a back-up to my computer, for the peace of mind when my computer screen goes blank. I don't have to surface, I can keep diving. Very sleek and comfortable, tucks away nicely while diving.

I have 2!
By Al B.
I have 2 of these (I liked the first so much, I bought a second for my professional setup). I use these as strict backups for my computer so in case of failure of the computer, I do not have to cancel the dive. With Pressure, depth, and compass all in one in an easy-to-read package, how can you go wrong? When I need a third set for my children, I will buy this again.
Wonderful

Mares has always paid special attention and devotee's its self to ergonomic design. The material used in manufacturing Mares instruments boots, are highly shock resistant elastomer to protect the gauges accuracy and affords a secure grip in every situation with any type of glove. The compact pressure gauge with its durable brass case and techno polymer lens has a luminesce dial for easy reading in day or night diving situations. Face of pressure gauge is color coded for safe air reserve in a glance.
Pressure gauge has 0 to 5,000 psi readout with a safety reserve 1000 psi color coded in red to allow the diver to know that they are low on air. The 2000 psi to full scale is color coded in blue. The pressure gauges 7/16" UNF neoprene jacket double braided high-pressure hose has a 360 Degree swivel and is 36" (90cm) long. Gauge is nitrox ready to 40% oxygen out of the box.
This very accurate oil filled depth gauge reads depth from 0' to 230' and comes equipped with a maximum depth indicator needle (MDIN). The MDIN is pushed by the gauge depth needle until the diver meets their maximum depth. The MDNI will remain at the maximum depth reached for the duration of the dive to indicate the diver's deepest depth reached during the dive. This feature allows the diver to not record that depth while diving yet will be available upon surfacing for later calculations for repetitive dives. Depth Gauge is color coded for easy and safe reading at a glance. Depth Gauge has a 0' to 230' readout with a safety red color-coded section from 0' to 30'. The impact-resistant boot has multiple eyelets for attachment of clips or lanyards to keep the gauge close at hand and from dragging over the environment.
