W : I tried to put it on my reg and it ripped.  Should I have put the end in hot water to soften before  putting on my reg?FLETCHER L : I would think that it was defective or you picked the wrong size mouthpiece because there are different sizes for the particular reg.John T : No, I never had to and I have 4 of them. Should just lubricate with water or KY jelly the inside of mouthpiece that fits onto the reg. You should not need a lot of force to install. If it still won't go on you could warm it up a bit. Chance are you just had a bad mouth piece.

Custom fit mouthpiece

I bought this for my daughter for our trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos. This mouthpiece s formed to the individuals mouth by using boiling water and placing it it your mouth after a brief cooling. It worked great and was custom fit to her mouth! Made the snorkel very comfortable.

Comfortable

Great mouthpiece. Was super easy to install and was really comfortable. I have 15 dives with this and didn't get any headaches like I normally did with my older form fit mouthpiece. It is much softer than my old fitted mouthpiece.

Comfy mouth piece

Havent used it in the water yet but the mold was easy to make. A little tough to get the mouth piece onto the reg but I'm happy with it so far.

The best purchase!

I used to get lock jaw diving, especially when I started because of nerves. I bought this mouthpiece and have had it now about 4 years. It's so great and comfy and fits on almost every regulator I've rented. The dive shops I use have had no problem putting it on their rental gear for me. It's been truly a lifesaver. I am now a grown up diver with my own gear and still have my trusted mouth piece!

Works perfectly. Just follow the instructions to a tee and do not submerge the mouthpiece too long in hot water. I can definitely say it reduced jaw fatigue and made my dives more comfortable than an ordinary mouthpiece

Good for confort

Excellent quality, you only need to follow the instructions. Perhaps in some regulators need to put the top in hot water. But I have realised that in my dive I don’t have fatigue in my jaw.

Just what I needed

I have a small mouth so a lot of standard mouthpieces cut into my lips, andI have a tendency to chomp on my mouthpieces. This has withstood my chomping AND was super comfortable to mold and cut down to the size I need. And I like the pink :-)

Easy to use, saves your jaw.

Mouthpiece was easy to mold to my mouth and easy to attach to my reg. Instructions on how to prepare it were clear. I have TMJ and this mouthpiece has really saved my jaw through multiple dives. It also keeps my reg from popping out of my mouth when I turn my head. 5 stars.

Love this mouthpiece

This is my second Jax mouthpiece and I've loved them both. I bought it for my Mares regulator and it fits perfectly. I've also used the Seacure mouthpiece but for me, the Jax fits better and is more comfy.

Stays in with jaw relaxed

Dive several times a day and see how long it takes for this to becomes a piece of required dive gear. I immediately noticed it stayed in better than other mouthpieces, but it wasn't until later in the first week of diving with it when other divers were complaining about sore jaws that I realized I had nothing to complain about. My JAX mouthpiece stays in place so well I never feel like I've had to clamp down on it to keep my regulator in place. Highly recommended.
