Nice quality plastic fin for less than 50 fsw

These are very nice quality plastic fins and the foot pocket is great. I wear a 9-1/2 running shoe or size 43 and purchased the 8.5-9.5, which fit great with a 2mm sock. The blade has really good flex and is a soft stiffness. I weigh 170lbs and these fins work great down to 50ft depths. I would not recommend these fins past 50ft, as the blade is too soft. It doesn't have a lot of push off the bottom. Great for longer surface swimming or a day on the water snorkeling shallow reefs. I owned Cressi Gara 3000LD's for many years and this blade is slightly softer with better flex. I still really like the Cressi 3000 LD's, but the Mares Concord is quite a bit lighter, which I like. Past 50ft depths, I use carbon fiber fins. I gave these fins 4 stars, as I feel the blade could be slightly stiffer. If you're more than 180lbs, I would not recommend the Mares Concord, but Cressi 2000HF which have a medium stiffness.
