The Epic Adj 82X scuba diving regulator features a first stage with an always dry, rotating turret and a state-of-the-art second stage with the Twin Power system.

The first stage of the Epic 82X has a 360° rotating turret and is a balanced membrane first stage. It has five 3/8" threaded low-pressure (LP) ports with 4 on a rotating turret for excellent hose routing and a fixed fifth on the end of the turret. Two opposing 7/16" threaded high-pressure (HP) ports allow mounting of a hose-less air integrated computer transmitter and a backup submersible pressure gauge (SPG).

The second stage is equipped with a VAD system that exploits the Venturi effect by conveying 90% of the air into a side bypass. The second stage also has a Twin Power system that allows you to control the airflow of the VAD system, ensuring natural breathing at any depth.

Second Stage Features

Vortex Assisted Design

VAD - VORTEX ASSISTED DESIGN
The air bypass tube delivers air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
TWIN POWER
New, flow control manages the delivery rate of your gas, from natural breathing to power breathing. The former is the traditional way of breathing a Mares regulator, (VAD) while the latter (VAD+) provides an extra push when you need it.

The 82X features a balanced diaphragm first-stage, ensuring reliable and consistent performance at any depth or air pressure. With a PVD coated marine brass design, the environmentally sealed first stage keeps internal parts free from contaminants like salt, sand, and chlorine. Additionally, the first stage includes the innovative AST anti-flooding system, which prevents water intrusion, ensuring a dry first stage in all conditions.

The regulator has five 3/8" threaded LP ports, four on a rotating turret for excellent hose routing, and a fixed fifth on the turret's end. It also has two opposing 7/16" threaded HP ports for mounting a hose-less air integrated computer transmitter and a backup SPG. The Mares Epic 82X utilizes tri-material valve technology for optimized performance, safety, and reliability.

Featuring full pneumatic balancing in the metal PVD coated second stage, the Epic ADJ 82X also has a large pivoting purge button for quick, intuitive use. With the VAD Twin Power system, the regulator allows divers to control air flow according to their breathing demands, ensuring top performance even in extreme conditions. The Epic ADJ 82X remains compact and lightweight while providing exceptional features. The Superflex hose is 3/8" threaded, high-flow, and 29.5" (75cm) in length. The regulator's total weight with the hose is 50.4 oz. (1,429g) and is Nitrox ready up to 40% oxygen right out of the box.
